things i don't really like
Romance
- Romance in things that aren't specifically romance always feels forced and annoying. I hate watching shounen anime and having to put up with the annoying romantic relationship between the two leads. A lot of the time I think the leads would be better off as friends.
- Most of the time the two male leads or two female leads have heaps more chemistry than the love interest and MC.
Ecchi
- I just get tired of seeing tits flopping around on the screen. It just drags shows down in my opinion, especially if they are scenes that are completely unnecessary except to give fanservice.
Harems
- The second I see an anime with one male protagonist and like seven female characters on the cover - I just don't want to watch it anymore. I honestly prefer either a healthily mixed cast or casts with only one gender. That way the likelihood of dealing with romance is lowered.
Isekai
- They're all boring male MCs making their 10 boring female trope characters fall in love with them for absolutely no reason.
- I love the concept of isekai but all of them are just boring harem garbage.
Length
- Most 24/26 episode anime could easily be less episodes. They usually have too much content for 12 episodes but only enough to fill maybe 17 episodes, leaving so much time they have to fill with garbage filler.
- Especially shoujo, slice of life or romance anime. They don't need to be more than 12 episodes, their
Love Triangles in Shoujo
- It's always very predictable - and annoying to sit through.
Otome Game Adaptions
- The MC is always awful; wishy washy, weak and passive.
- One or two characters will get all of the screentime while the rest of the characters get absolutely zilch.
- The actual male lead is always super duper obvious. It's nearly impossible to watch a reverse harem or otome game adaption and not know within a couple of episodes who the MC is going to end up with - and it's always the worst boy.
