    • Backup/remove any pics & videos etc. & uninstall any unused apps to keep phone tidy (& laptop/tablet if possible too)

    • Pinterest but boards tidy & organised
    • Instagram for Slimming World
    • YouTube but very selectively (i.e. subscribe & watch minimalists, eco-friendly, tiny house owners, simple livers, comedians & musicians, TED talks, etc.)
    • Spotify for music & podcasts
  • Don't use single-use items (e.g. plastic straws, cotton pads/buds, wet wipes, kitchen roll, food bags, etc.)
    • Don't use teabags or buy coffee from coffee shops in disposable bags/cups
    • Finish using up all of the small pots of condiments rather than buying big bottles & recycle the little containers
    • Take reusable carrier bags & /or backpack to the shops (also ensure always have a bag in jacket pocket or if carrying smaller handbag, just in case)
    • Also if grocery shopping take small reusable produce bags for any loose fruits or vegetables
    • Do online shopping where possible, especially for groceries, to reduce impulse purchases & deviation from list - opt for no carrier bags
    • Keep set of reusable cutlery & straw in bag just in case (& take lightweight tupperware container, if room in bag)
    • Ask in cafe's if food can be put into my tupperware/reusable container (added benefit means any leftovers can be taken home)
    • Or say eating in, then will likely be given a plate & proper cutlery (can pack in tupperware & go elsewhere or can take the time to sit in)
    • Use silicone muffin cases & plastic jelly molds
    • Reusable unpaper roll instead of kitchen roll
    • Reusable/wipe clean oven mats (for on oven trays, to reduce use of foil & greaseproof paper)
    • Reusable face pads / wash cloths
  • Finish using up all existing household, toiletry, hair & beauty products before replacing or buying more
  • Replace some products with longer lasting, lower waste, more eco-friendly alternatives
    • Block shampoo & conditioner
    • Toothpaste tablets
    • Bar face cleanser
    • Homemade body sugar scrub
    • Block dish soap
    • Homemade cleaning sprays
    • Homemade candles
    • Make draft excluder(s) & own cushion covers
  • Try to buy more loose & unpackaged or lesser packaged/bulk products to reduce recycling waste
  • Aim to re-use/repurpose or recycle empty containers
  • Freeze fruits & vegetables which are close to going off or use them in a batch cook or thrifty recipe to reduce food waste (e.g. smoothie or soup)
  • Feed Melody any bruised or turning fruit, vegetables & salad leaves
  • Ask local council for composting (food waste) bin & if no as no pick up, contact other properties to request sign up to online petition then send to council
  • Meal Prep & Batch Cook
    • Freeze individual portions in reusable plastic containers to be defrosted/heated up & eaten like ready meals
    • Keep inventory list of all ingredients to help with more awareness for shopping and meal planning
  • Reduce number of dishes to help keep on top of the washing up & so dishes, & containers are readily available at mealtimes etc. (less likely to eat convenience)
  • Adopt a mostly vegetarian diet & some vegan practices
    • Cruelty-Free bath & beauty products
    • Free-range Eggs
    • Dairy-Free Milk Alternatives
    • Mostly eat Vegan / Vegetarian if out in restaurants (occasionally eat meat if at parents to be more considerate to family)
  • Continue to Recycle all plastic, paper, cans, glass
  • Collect any material/fabric items for draft excluders or to send to H&M for recycling
  • Collect any bottletops & hand into Lush for recycling
  • Drink more diluting juice & reuse plastic bottles, but mainly drink from metal bottle, to reduce waste from cans
  • Wash laundry at 30°c & aim to only wash once (short wash with time to hang up so doesn't need rewashed)
  • Hang laundry on radiators, doors, etc. (occasionally as a luxury, use parents tumble dryer)
  • Let hair air dry after towel drying following shower (rare use of hairdryer & straighteners)
  • Keep list of all clothes, bags, shoes, jewellery, & accessories - review often & remove any unused items (donate or recycle, etc.)
  • Gift or donate any unwanted items & return anything borrowed
  • Use a good quality metal razor with changeable blades (lasts longer, less waste, reduced plastic)
  • Keep personal files organised & minimal (one archive & one current) so know where all important documents are but don't keep much paper
  • Stick label on letterbox stating 'No Junk Mail' to reduce incoming paper waste
  • Buy bedding & dry food for Melody in bulk online as cardboard boxes can be used, content lasts much longer and comes in only 2 containers (buying locally would be more frequent & need more packaging)
