when i was a kid, my classmates got the latest airmax shoes, pencil cases, slam books, NBA cards, gameboys, superNES games...
i never had any one of those. my parents couldnt afford em.
you can say i grew up surrounded by everyone having everything while i have nothing but what was required to have. or less even.
as an adult, i am glad that i can now afford to get myself the latest and greatest consumerist shit.
but i am glad even more that ive learned as a kid i dont need the latest and greatest consumerist shit.
that i need nothing else but only what is required to have. saves me a lot of money, time, stress, and living space you know.
