to ignore is a practical and critical life skill. ignoring a lot of things makes my life simpler and more peaceful. and blissful, so they say.
here are some of the things that when i ignore, i am at peace:
- my boss
- my boss's boss
- the alarm. especially on mondays.
- "WARNING:Could not lower the asynch I/O" messages in the alert log of a 10.2.0.5 database
- those tablespaces marked YELLOW in my daily DB utilization report
- attention-seekers. i just love ignoring them!
- my attention-seeking seatmate in TADM10 and TADM12. he's so annoying, out-of-context, and inappropriately chatty.
- my seatmate at work to my west. the korean refers to him as curly-curly lol.
- the fact that im 29 and that i still do not care.
- people who judge me due to the fact that im 29 and that i still do not care
- people who make parinig me in twitter/facebook
- people who make gaya me in twitter/facebook
- rumors about me
- opinions about me, good or bad
- girls who talk in beckinese. i find this annoying, inappropriate, not funny, and out of context. (like that "dude" in item 5)
- out of the country invitation from girls. most probably they're just being impulsive. dear girls, prove to me you are serious with your "invitation"
- that company in Germany who asks if im willing to be in a 1-2 years contract. no way will i give up a perm position that easily.
- ex-colleagues who suddenly ask me about oracle
- the fact that i keep on dropping things involuntarily. i hope its not a nervous system issue
- the cost of a plane ticket going to Philippines. yes. seriously. going home is priceless
