- waking up on mild summer mornings and not being tired
- the smell of my grandparent's house
- when someone pays me a genuine, unexpected compliment
- making eye contact with attractive strangers on the train
- getting decent chunks of the chocolate/cookie dough in my ice-cream at il gelato
- seeing a really cute old couple still in love
- noticing something really interesting in a place i pass regularly and having it change my perspective completely
- finding a great new song and playing it over and over and not getting tired of it
- being spoken to in italian and actually understanding somewhat what is going on
- remembering something good and smiling in public without being embarrassed
- buying someone a present with the money i worked hard for and seeing them really appreciate it
- having someone working at the cafe/driving the bus sincerely tell me to "have a good day"
- having a deep and meaningful conversations with strangers whilst drunk
- meeting up with old friends and knowing nothing has changed
- getting paid
- the quietness and feeling of being underwater
