♥︎. basic info; wood man is a character important to siiva lore and a preexisting character from mega man 2. he was present from the first year of the channel’s existence (2016) to the end of season 6 (2022), when he announced he was leaving the channel to find a “magic solution.”

he is a computer virus, created from a rip of a shitty game [mighty no9]. the exact virus is named rip_of_shit_game, infact. he is also a figment, representing his stage’s theme in MM2, and the shitty midi rendition named “mm2wood.mid”.

his catchphrase is “nice”, usually followed with the >:] emoticon. when the creator of siiva wood man was asked why this, he stated it was because of a rip in which most comments only consist of the word “nice”.

♥︎. full channel history; wood man first appeared in october 2016 when he was added to the lighthouse banner after the first wood man stage rip was uploaded. he later proceeded to take over the channel for 2016’s halloween event, culminating in the release of an album and the [now likely retconned] tidbit that wood man and the 8 bit beast are one in the same.

he first hosted the channel from the start to end of november, after which he temporarily left on the 30th to go throw hands with mega man. while he was gone, he still did post on the channel twitter sometimes.
