TLDR; Meelser is closest to Gangle and Ragatha. He would consider Gangle his best friend.

• Pomni ─ Meel and Pomni initially got off on the wrong foot. Both of them entered the Circus within similar time-frames of each other, and had completely different ways of handling their eternal fate. Meel found herself envious of Pomni and her optimistic, proactive attitude. They have a steady camaraderie on adventures, but interactions are sparse outside of obligation.
• Ragatha ─ Meelser and Ragatha are very similar, in that they both display people-pleasing tendencies (though Ragatha's fawning is definitely more severe.) Meel finds comfort in Ragatha after discovering that the Circus is real, and they are easily able to bond due to both of their friendly natures. Meel looks out for Ragatha, and in turn Ragatha looks out for Meel.
• Gangle ─ Meel adores Gangle, and Gangle is ecstatic to have another "fandom nerd" in the Circus. A friendship quickly forms when they realize how much they have in common (both artists, fanatics, and maybe a little pervy.) Meel sympathizes with Gangle's fragile nature (both physically and emotionally,) and does his best to shield her from Jax's torment, willing to take the abuse for her.
• Jax ─ Meelser's sensitive nature makes them an easy target, much to their horror. She does not take the bullying well, and initially displayed visceral fear at Jax's unpredictable, mean-spirited behavior towards the others. However, this is what ends up bonding Meelser to Gangle, who understands the mistreatment, and offers her room to relax in whenever on-edge. Following the initial fear, Meel shuts down Jax completely and does not entertain his shenanigans. He does his best to ignore Jax, which annoys him greatly.
• Kinger ─ Meel did not really interact with Kinger much in his first weeks at the Circus. This changed, following a paired adventure, in which Meel opens up, believing that their words would go in one ear and out the other. During the adventure, Kinger off-handedly brings up something significant that Meelser had mentioned before, much to her shock. Following the adventure, Meel felt more comfortable around Kinger, even stopping by his pillow fortress and spending time in the darkness together. This is when Meel realizes that darkness is what gives Kinger clarity.
