The Super-Organism is a primitive living being. Its insides are fleshy membranes and cartilage, with vessels forming paths all throughout it. The Super-Organism groans and trembles, its crimson pink walls threatening to cave any second. The inhabitants of the Super-Organism have never left it, and neither do they want to. Their damp, flesh home is all they know and they have by now grown used to the tangy smell and constant drip of fluids they have yet to identify. The Super-Organism gives them purpose and they live for it, as is programmed within their biology. As far as they’re aware, if they ever leave their delicate bodies will explode into nothingness.
