- often travelers, stereotyped as hitchhikers
- like in Kiki's delivery service, at some point they take a long voyage to hone their skills away from home. they choose direction based on feeling and when they feel an attachment to a specific town, they stay for the duration of their journey.
- since laws differ region to region, there are little rulebooks that witches stop to get! :^D they're little booklets
- traditional aspects of fashion/brewing/etc. are often followed but witches definitely keep up with the times! often very willing to share their knowledge, but keep very important stuff or traditions to themselves.
