- picking up and unpacking all my possessions that mum and dad had shipped over

- walking talula around the apartment complex where she was always gushed over
- feeling very very poor
- getting my first american job
- traveling back and forth on the light rail / bus
- getting my first grown-up job where I use my degree
- struggling with driving / fear of getting lost
- taking my driving test - obtaining my american drivers license
- pearl jam road trip with thomas and leigh
- buying our first home
- hundreds of phone calls home
- many weekend drives to look at the outside of what would soon be our home
