THAT LIGHT HAD A NAME
in september i saw a light
at the end of the tunnel
my eyes, so used to the dark,
closed right in that moment
i'd never seen anything quite as bright
so i expected a train
but it never came
it never found me
i took a risk
and opened my eyes slowly
only to meet his
and in his tired hazel eyes
i found my peace
it was never a train
that light had a name
and it gave me the chance
to feel something good again.
