- preschool: Brooke H., my first friend, the epitome of a "spoiled brat" and later on, a "JAP". spent a majority of my time with her being bossed around and subjected to incessant bragging regarding new expensive/ostentatious/superficial material items. exposed me too cultural "staples" i would have otherwise been sheltered from by my private school education.
- kindergarden: Shayna T., a strange girl with a personality/behavioral disorder causing her to be detested by everyone else but myself. bonded over our love for animals and desire to pretend to be cheetahs rather than the standard "house characters." she later was expelled from my private school for frequent violent and irrepressible tantrums.
- 1st - 3rd grade: Melissa T., extremely tall girl who was chosen to move to advanced math and english with myself and thus the two of us were tutored privately. bonded for the first time on a tire swing after one of said learning sessions when realizing that we were both familiar with my neighbor, Lianne, and had a strong distaste for her domineering tendencies. we were inseparable ever since, until she proceeded to accidentally scratch my face several years later during a rather aggressive game of teatherball. The result was a scar that lasted for about a decade, which I myself was probably more intrigued by then distressed, but my mother was outraged and her interference regading the "issue" with Melissa's mother eventually drove our friendship apart.
- 4th grade: Nicole R., "popular" and very beautiful girl from public school who infiltrated or system and adopted me as her side-kick for organizing a strict class hierarchy. inspired me to be interested in makeup and fashion and those polly-pockets with the rubber clothing. bonded over our curiosity with feminine behavior and sexuality (which transpired in polly-pocket orgies). we later drifted apart after I became disenchanted with her primarily superficial tendencies.
- 5th - 6th grade: Kelli D., the seemingly "anti-Nicole": a social freak and outcast with giant hair , large glasses, and an obsession with Wiccan culture and all things "evil". bonded over our love of fiction and art, and collaborated on comic book-style projects daily. was mean and calculating, and was later terrifyingly spiteful after I left her for the following classmate.
- 7th - 8th grade: Noy H., Israeli immigrant with whom I hit it off with as soon as she had a comprehensible grasp of the English language. Was the first friend I staunchly believed would last forever. I practically lived with her and her family until she chose to befriend a girl who happened to brutally harrass me regullarly. Eventually their relationship grew strong enough to dispell me as Noy's best friend and I was thoroughly hurt/upset by this. later I found out after running into her at an art studio that Noy and Nicole, whom moved to New York together to attend Solomon Schehter High School, were no longer friends.
- 9th - 10th grade: Alyssa S., shared an uncanny amount of things in common, however her shy nature hindered me socially and I often (regrettably) put her on the back burner. our relationship fizzled out after the first year of college.
- 11th grade: Lauren H., super hard working and athletic and somewhat social climbing, were incredibly close for awhile and spent vass amounts of time together. Helped introduce me to High School cliches such as drinking/smoking/sexual behavior. Replaced the time she once had spent with me later on with a boyfriend I was slightly uncomfortable with.
- 12th grade: Katie Weinstein, self explanatory.
