How to create a Japanese iTunes account without a credit or gift card.

• What you'll need:
  • An unused email account that isn't connected to any iTunes account
  • A computer with iTunes downloaded into it
  • Later obviously the iOS device you will be playing on.
• Instructions
  • Open iTunes. Sign out of your iTunes account if you are signed in.
  • Go to the store. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and you should see a flag of a country. Click on it. Now select Japan as from the countries listed.
  • Afterwards search for The Game In Question (you can write in english it won't matter) and click the app and press buy. You can click any app, actually, but it must be completely free. YOU NEED TO HAVE CLICKED A FREE APP DOWNLOAD FIRST OR ELSE YOU WON'T GET THE OPTION OF NOT USING A CREDIT CARD.
  • Click create apple id. "Free" should be preselected for you. Leave the gift card area blank. If it is not preselected, choose option "free" (although you may have done something wrong if it is not preselected).
  • Enter a clean email address. Enter a password. Enter any name you choose.
  • Under phonetic pronunciation it can be anything. I used "トクメイ" Feel free to plug that straight in.
  • Other guides will teach you how to match postal codes with prefects. You can do this by looking up hotels in Japan. That's an annoying extra step, so I am just going to give you what I used (Tokyo):
• Postal Code: 100-0006
• Select "Tokyo" from the drop down box.
• Type: "Chiyoda-ku" in the box to the right of Tokyo.
• Address: "123 Nowhere Road" or anything you want. Leave the rest blank.
• Phone: 080 55555555

You are done!

• Note the information you used somewhere so you don't forget it.
  • On your device, go to Settings -> "iTunes & App Store -> Click on your username and signout. Sign in with the new account. You will be switched to the JP store. Download the game.
