Really is what you make it. Want a story based game? Download a Mod Pack. Want to just farm? Do so in vanilla or modded. Want to play with friends? Join a server. Mods are just as good as vanilla. I always come back to this game.

• Ark Survival Evolved 10/10- 700+ hours- Steam

Spent so much time on this one too. Dinos are fun and its a survival game. Mods really make this game better, highly recommend playing with friends too.

• Terraria 9/10- 280+ hours- Steam

This is a fun survival craft. Think 2D Minecraft. Can easily play for hours on end. Gets more difficult as you progress.

• Animal Crossing 9/10- Unknown hours- Switch

Was able to play this daily for a couple years. Like many, it got me through quarantine.

• House Flipper 9/10- almost 700 hours- Steam

If you like decorating games, this is perfect. Workshop content makes it even better.

• Baldur's Gate 3 9/10- 80+ hours- Steam

If you like DnD, this is great game. Really fun with friends.

• Spirit City Lofi 9/10- 60+ hours- Steam

If you're looking for a cute game that keeps you on track for work or study, this is the game for you. Can decorate your spaces and style your character, but also collect different critters. Has a lot of good productivity features, including sound, music, timers, and lists.

• Don't Starve Together 9/10- 200+ hours- Steam

One of my first PC games, really spent a lot of time on this one. Survival game.

• Sons of the Forest 9/10- 55+ hours- Steam

Yes, this is the second game in the Forest series but well worth and you can absolutely start with this one. Rich story and horror style gameplay.

• Grimshire 9/10- 55+ hours- Steam

Stardew Valley(farming sim), meets cute animals and dark themes. Very fun.

• Skyrim 9/10- 100+ hours- Steam

There's a reason it's so popular. Lots of pretty exploration. If decorating is your thing, you can do it but it's ROUGH. Plenty of fighting opportunity.

• Rimworld 9/10- almost 400 hours- Steam

Be wary of some themes here, this game can get problematic pretty fast, but you can play it however you want. Really amazing management game. As difficult as you make it. Mods recommended.

• Stardew Valley 8/10- 500+ hours- Steam

Farming sim, done really well.

• 7 Days to Die- 8/10- 300+ hours- Steam

If you like zombie/apocalyptic games, this one's for you. Better with friends.

• Thrifty Business 8/10- 90+ hours- Steam

A casual game, if you like organizing type games, it's good. Only downfall is you can only play so long until it gets too repetitive.

• The Planet Crafter 8/10- 180+ hours- Steam

I poured so many hours into this one. Especially when I got a friend to play with me. Lots of exploration and science in this game.

Good progression. Can be fun with friends.

Definitely has a learning curve, but a fun management game with the ability to decorate and have cute animals.

• Medieval Dynasty 8/10- 100+ hours- Steam

Village management, fun exploration. Can play casually or with more difficult gameplay depending on settings.

Pretty fun apocalyptic game, as a New Englander, I am a bit biased picking this as my favorite out of the Fallout series.

Pretty fun, lots of exploration, has apocalyptic themes.

• World of Warcraft 7/10- Unknown hours- Battle.net

This one changed a lot from its early days. Still enjoy retail but definitely prefer classic. Can do a variety of things keeping it interesting.
