I'm assuming most of you know my name, and that you know me as Calli. If you didn't originally meet me as Calli, eg. we met in highschool, at work or through mutual highschool friends, thats cool too! I just want to explain some things here.

  • My real name is Chelsea
  • Chelsea is not a deadname (duh, otherwise I wouldn't be telling you that)
  • If you met me as Calli and I added you on facebook or someone told you my actual name, please don't start referring to me as Chelsea. Its weird and jarring
    • Please don't call me Chelsea at a convention, or when we're in public with people who would know me as Calli and not even know my real name. Again, it feels super weird to be in a place where I can be myself and have fun with everyone who knows me as Calli, only to be interrupted and things be awkward.
  • If you know me as Chelsea, please don't force yourself to start calling me Calli. I really don't care.
  • Please just don't switch it up, just stick with one or the other or even a new nickname if you feel like it. The two different names are very defining to me (I'm not saying I have different personalities or anything, I just mean that Chelsea is the name I use at work, with high school and tafe friends. Everyone else knows me as Calli. It's just what I'm comfortable with.)

Why? I picked up Calli as a nickname back in 2013, because I didn't feel comfortable using my real name on the internet and I assumed my parents wouldn't be happy with that either. Then it just kinda stuck with my internet friends, and I used it online for good. I met my irl friends through tumblr and because they only knew me as Calli, they called me that in person too. So yeah here we are now :>

I know this all sounds super weird but it really isn't. Just call me Calli
