- read books, draw pictures, going outside for recess, using your iPad, other
- What is your favorite "specials" class?
- Do you like doing things in a quiet space?
- Do you like to learn by yourself or with a partner?
- by myself, with a partner
- Is there someone in the classroom who you enjoy talking to?
- yes, a classmate; yes, a teacher; no
- Do you think you are treated fairly in the classroom?
- What do you enjoy most about learning?
- asking questions, completing AR tests, solving things on my own, working with a partner/group, getting the right answer
- Do you think homework/classwork is easy or hard for you to do?
- easy, hard, not easy but not hard either, it's easier if someone helps me
- What program do you enjoy most on your iPad?
- Dreambox, Xtramath, Reading Eggs, other
- What do you like doing the most at home?
- spending time with family, finishing homework, playing video/other games, going on trips to other places, other, nothing
- What kind of books do you enjoy the most?
- fiction, nonfiction, comic books, how-to books
- Do you like competing with your classmates?
- Do you like seeing book/movie/other characters that are just like you?
- Do you feel like you are doing well in school?
- yes, no, I could do better
- Do you enjoy getting to know new people/cultures?
- How do you feel when you get a low score on your work?
- I feel upset. There is nothing I can do to get a better score.; I feel upset, but I can do better if I get more help.; It's fine. I will do better next time.; I don't care.
- Do you like having rules/directions in your assignments and the classroom?
- yes, no, yes, but I wish they could be changed
- What do you do if someone is being mean to you at school?
- nothing; I tell a teacher or other adult; I try to argue/fight with them; I try to tell them to leave me alone
- Who helps you with your schoolwork at home?
- my parent; my sibling; someone else who I trust; no one/they are all busy
