- big magic
- the introduction was incredible -- sucked me in almost immediately
- i was hoping that it would change my life, like EPL did, but it didn't, and as i read it, i was like "okay, okay, this is still good. i just don't know if it will relate to me."
- then i finished the book, returned it to the library, and suddenly all the things that Gilbert was talking about came true
- in order to live
- couldn't put it down
- one of my favourite memoirs i've read thus far
- extremely fascinating, incredibly inspiring, and an educational and fantastic read overall!
- finished it in a night because i really couldn't put it down
- miss peregrine's home for peculiar children
- the mystery sucked me in - i wanted to figure out who killed Jacob's grandfather and wTF happened and was happening
- as the novel progressed it got worse and worse for me, actually. it was good, but not great. i thought it was a bit cheesy
- the unnecessary romance was probably the biggest killer for me
- i kept trying to figure out WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE of the romance but could not think of anything
- as for the photographs, I liked them as companions, but didn't need them, but I suppose that's what made the book unique. honestly, later on they felt forced.
- overall an intriguing and unique story. very well written by Riggs, but perhaps not something for me as I didn't care to finish the next two books
