Many western fans have said Arashi is a woman, even to the point where they made the English-speaking Ensemble Stars wiki change his pronouns in 2022 to she/her claiming that the author wrote Arashi as a woman. Yet... Japanese fans do not see it that way.

Once, a Japanese fan tried explaining to western fans on twitter that Arashi is male and the western fans harassed her until she deleted her account.

As a western fan be careful not to fall into habits of treating Japanese authors and their fans as stupid or ignorant about their own creations and media, and then attempt to force western interpretations of their media and harass them for it. It is racist to do so.
