  • June 1 - went for a long bike ride on the bike trail.
  • June 2 - made iced pomegranate white tea in a pretty blue pitcher.
  • June 3 - ate watermelon for dessert.
  • June 4 - went swimming and worsened my tan-lines, then sat out on the deck all afternoon trying to repair them.
  • June 5 - bought fresh berries at the market.
  • June 6 - biking, boating, and lobster for dinner.
  • June 7 - drove the boat to Bourne for lunch and had steamers with my dad.
  • June 8 - laid in the sun reading "Bergdorf Blondes" by the ocean.
  • June 9 - went on a morning run down by the lighthouse and literally felt God's presence in the beauty of the sun shining through the clouds.
  • June 10 - explored Thayer street by foot and delighted in a new favorite beverage: almond rooibos tea misto.
  • June 11 - vicariously attended an epic beach bonfire with my nearest and dearest San Diegans (ok, so this was last night, but since it was almost midnight on the east coast, it totally counts).
  • June 12 - slept outside in a tent.
  • June 13 - slept for 12 hours...the kind of sleeping you can only do during the summer when there is a total disregard for time.
  • June 14 - wore my swimsuit from lunchtime until bedtime.
  • June 15 - woke up at 5:30am, just because it was already light outside.
  • June 16 - nothing says summer quite like a burger...made some turkey burgers for dinner.
  • June 17 - spent 90% of my day outdoors.
  • June 18 - had my first official experience using the grill, and I must say I think I'm addicted to it.
  • June 19 - went running outside, even though it was raining.
  • June 20 - kicked off summer wedding season.
  • June 21 - celebrated Father's Day with slow-cooked ribs and a fresh spinach and citrus salad (Dad made the ribs, I made the salad).

  • June 24 - packed my bags for a west coast weekend getaway.
  • June 25 - ate my weight in berries and mangoes (thank you, Miss Kenna Hurd).
  • June 26 - ate breakfast outside, explored Sunset Cliffs in OB and zoomed around Coronado on a pink beach cruiser.
  • June 27 - spent the whole day outside with my San Diego besties (and got the sunglasses tan to prove it): boat-ing, beach-ing, bonfire-ing.
  • June 28 - went for a run on the beach and spent the entire morning lounging on an Adirondack chair.
  • June 29 - traveled from one coast to the other.
  • June 30 - did nothing and didn't feel bad about it -- summer is for relaxing.
  • July 1 - bought plums, cherries, watermelon and sunflowers at the store.
