- Blueberry Yogurt Bars (2)
- (2) Used 1/2 cup of granulated sugar instead of 1/3 cup.
- Result: too sweet for my taste.
- Mexican Fiesta Bites (3)
- (1 - 3) Couldn't find mini muffin cups.
- Result: delicious but doesn't hold a good shape without mini muffin cups.
- Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies (3)
- (1) Substituted 1/2 cup of vegetable oil with 1/4 cup of melted butter and 1/4 cup of canola oil. Reduced 1 cup of white sugar to 1/2 cup. Added pumpkin seeds and walnuts. Used 1 tsp of baking powder instead of 1/4 tsp.
- Result: turned out more cake-like than moist.
- (2) Substituted 1/2 cup of vegetable oil with canola oil. Reduced 1 cup of white sugar to 1/2 cup. Added pumpkin and flax seeds. Added approximately 2 tbsp of unsweetened applesauce.
- Result: moist and DELICIOUS!
- Speedy Salsa-Chicken Quesadillas (1)
- (1) Excluded chili powder and MIRACLE WHIP dressing. Didn't follow measurements. Added finely chopped mushrooms, onions and spinach for chicken mixture.
- Carrot Snacking Cake (2)
- (1 - 2) Excluded the pineapple glaze. Used French-cut carrots instead of grated.
- Result: YUM! but I want the cake to look more orange.
- Kung Pao Chicken (1)
- (1) Used ginger garlic paste instead of fresh garlic and ginger. Green beans and onions became slightly burned.
- Result: didn't look very appetizing but tasted great.
- Garlic Bread with Cheese (1)
- (1) No parsley was used. Substituted mozzarella cheese for asiago. Used ginger garlic paste instead of fresh garlic (dumb idea). Forgot to season.
- Good Old Fashioned Pancakes (1)
- (1) Added 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
- Result: i loved the lightness compared to storebought pancake mix but, my brother was indifferent.
- Sunday Brunch Bake (1)
- (1) Substituted breakfast pork sausage for chicken sausage. Added 1 cup of chopped green peppers. Didn't drain sausage mixture. Used 1/2 package of shredded cheese rather than an entire package.
- Result: DELICIOUS! although it felt like there were too many eggs in the recipe.
