THINGS I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST TO AID SLEEPING

  • keep my laptop on my desk rather than use it on the laptop table which I can drag near my bed
  • use my bed just for sleeping, don't get into bed until I intend to sleep
  • relaxation techniques - incense/candles/meditation/gentle stretches before going to bed
  • earlier showers
  • fully shut the blinds
  • change the position of the bed/sleep on the other side
  • get new sheets
  • don't drink too much water or tea
  • have the fan on (with timer)

THINGS I COULD START DOING

  • handwrite a to-do list right before turning off all lights - this one I will try tomorrow
  • leaving all electronics out of arm's reach
  • NO GAMES. N O G A M E S.
  • tidy room after turning off/hibernating/locking/putting to sleep all electronics
  • wake up earlier
  • be more active during the day. eg. exercise
  • be more active during the day - differentiate between the activities for day, and activities for night.
