I will be the mother who:

• Is painfully indecisive over my children's names, wanting to make sure that everything is perfect.
• Takes pictures of absolutely everything, no matter how small, leaving no event undocumented.
• Can't bear to let my baby cry, and do everything in my power to prevent it.
• Knows the importance of daily hugs, and constant reminders that my children are loved without exceptions.
• Hovers over what they do, wanting to protect them, but letting them make their own mistakes along the way.
• Will always be there to pick up the pieces.
• Reads constantly, and never stops buying books.
• Finds pleasure in creating special memories and traditions.
• Doesn't like pets, but has them for the sake of my kids.

My children will be taught:

• That manners and respect are invaluable.
• That everybody deserves to be treated equally, and with compassion.
• To care for and look after their belongings.
• That their opinions and thoughts are important, and deserve to be listened to.

And the most important thing I know is that my children will be loved for exactly who they are, no matter who that may be.
