• He taught me to be a big sister
  • If I go to the bathroom or to have a shower, he will follow me and sit outside the door till I'm done, knocking occasionally and asking "Finished yet? Play toys now?"
  • He loves trucks and cars, but still love his toy kitchen, Katie's prams and his dancing skirt just as much
  • Instead of just saying "Yes" or "No", he says "Oh yes please, Nikki!" or "Oh no thank-you, Nikki!" in a really enthusiastic tone
  • Whenever he comes to meet me at the airport, he stands next to the window till he sees me and then starts bashing on the glass and calling my name
  • Whenever he has a drink or a biscuit, he brings one over to both Katie and myself so we can have one too
  • He sings "ice ice, baby" and then goes "dun nun dun nun!"
  • Sometimes I'm the only person he will let do things, like put him in his car seat, or read him stories before bed
  • When I taught him to give kisses, he wouldn't give them to anybody but me
  • He calls ponytails "ponyhairs", and insists on having them if Katie or I do.
  • On Valentine's Day, he gave me a big, sloppy kiss and then pronounced "Happy Valentines Day Nikki, I love you!"
  • His favourite songs are "Moves Like Jagger", "Shake It" and "Superbass"
  • He calls every bird a duck, no matter what it really is
  • He goes for walks in his dancing skirt and with clips in his hair, and he couldn't care less
  • When he's falling asleep, he plays with the silky edge of his blanket, running it between his fingers
  • He knows how much I love him - "lots and lots, very much!"
  • He loves stories, and books
  • Before he was born, I was apprehensive about having a baby sibling. The moment I met him, I fell undeniably head over heels in love - he was perfect and had my heart completely
  • He was out running in the rain and at first I thought he was just so silly and then I realised that looked like fun - so I joined him. We ran like idiots and had "wet cuddles!" and when the rain stopped, we grabbed the hose and the fun continued.
  • Instead of saying "Can I", he says "May I"
  • He calls the pre-recorded storybook his "Magic music book with Nikki talking on it!"
  • He knows just how to bring out a smile or laugh when you're feeling down.
  • He's honest - "I didn't go on stage because I was a little bit scared. I saw all my friends dancing though!"
