week 035
- eating chocolate cream pie for breakfast
- wandering through the garden, picking tomatoes and green beans, being pursued by a disgruntled mockingbird parent
- going to Kohl's together, the boy buying fancy clothes
- taking a nap together, kissing his smooth shoulders and back
- Kung pao chicken
- sitting in a really half-bubbled bubble bath, laughing at the small tub
- making Tyler an omelette for breakfast with Italian sausage and Locatelli cheese
- going to work, talking to Chris about expenses involved in moving to Long Island - and realizing its not much
- making Tyler crispy honey chicken, the scent of garlic overwhelming the kitchen
- rubbing his feet (I love giving foot rubs)
- "We can move anywhere you want as long as you're making money there."
- writing my novel in a notebook at work
- getting "adult stuff" taken care of together - doctors appts, then grocery shopping
- drinking Fireball whisky together, him saying "This might be my new drink of choice."
- seeing Tyler cry again - "I wish I had known you then. I would've stopped you." and "Nothing is new for you.", reassuring him, perhaps silently in retrospect, that we will find and do as much as we can
- waking up at 5am due to a nightmare and finding Tyler next to me, him comforting me and letting me burrow into his shoulder
- snoozing for houuuurs together
- picking ripe red tomatoes from the garden
- cooking bacon for our sandwiches made with fresh bread
- listening to the Matco guy's crazy stories about getting in fights and getting stabbed, being fascinated by the lives of young men
- going out on the canoe, Tyler catching a couple snook as I steered us
- talking to Chris about fishing at work
- going into the garden with my mother, her being impressed at how "it doubled in size"
- talking to Tyler's father and stepmom, them giving me advice on dealing with the more dysfunctional side of the family
- canoe-fishing with Tyler at various snook lights, him complimenting me on how well I controlled the canoe
- catching a 25"-ish snook
- watching the Food Network until 3am, "I'm pretty sure we should get married soon if we're watching this together."
- waking up together, always.
