• hearing the story of how my uncle saved his wife's life after she began choking on - of all the things - red cabbage
• driving out east, upbeat music and happiness
• reaching Orient Point, having a delectable spinach salad with turkey, swiss, bacon, cranberries, walnuts, with a pomegranate vinaigrette dressing
• going to farmer's markets and buying organic golden raspberries, eating them straight out of the container in the backseat, also buying locally made candy and honey
• delayed flight, reading over 200 pages in a Clash of Kings
• getting home at 1:30am, going out in the kitchen to get ice for my whisky, and finding my father chugging a beer - "We have so much in common!"
• seeing Tyler, being elated, napping together, being unable to stop touching each other, and then making tacos for dinner
• getting back to work, realizing I missed the whirring of the industrial fans and ah, the engines running
