- starting NaNoWriMo at midnight
- Skyping with James, discussing writing
- making my CompSci professor laugh while joking around with the other kids in my group
- our Scratch animation consisting of a cute character who ends up being a violent murderer & everyone in the class laughing at my horrific narration of it - "she never danced again."
- eating very not-authentic pad Thai in front of my fireplace that I made out of ramen
- going to a super cute cafe with Z for lunch
- shopping with Z, buying an old beaten up filing cabinet to restore it
- taste testing at the whiskey store in the mall, the salesman making us the tiniest old-fashioned
- going to Circa 33 with Carlo, trying expensive local rye whiskey and eating pork sliders
- eating cheesecake while watching Demolition Man with him
- realizing that I got the highest grade in the class on my math midterm (97.5)
- 100 on my math quiz
- making peanut butter cookies to bring to Alex & Carlo
- deep conversation about artificial intelligence with Alex over dinner
- talking with my professor about his patents
- climbing Mt. Hood in the snow, tobogganing down it, wind and snowflakes rushing at my face
- trying to warm up near the fire in the lodge
- having friends over for homemade pizza night
- finishing NaNoWriMo on Nov 20
- "i'm always wondering where you are"
- writing out the truth, hitting the send button, anxiety for days now waiting on the reply which will probably never come
- making an entire Thanksgiving meal for Z, Alex, & Carlo: 17 lbs turkey, gravy, stuffing, from-scratch dinner rolls, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, green beans, 2 chocolate pies
- Carlo being incredibly drunk and eating steaming-hot mashed potatoes despite blinking away tears, "I can't stop eating them, they're so good"
- telling secrets, followed by sharing cigars and whiskey on the back balcony by the firepit
- the ride home with Z, admiring the bridges and being honest about life and discussing ways to reconnect
- thanksgiving leftovers by the fireplace
