week 005

• turning up Gazpacho on my headphones at 5am, cleaning upstairs
• David making an amazing white pizza w/ garlic and spinach at 6am - we ate the entire thing and then fell asleep
• going to see 'S Wonderful with Evelyn
• driving home in the rain, dancing and singing in my car at the top of my lungs, feeling happy
• getting home, not feeling happy but swearing to do something about it
• "BITCHES LOVE SPACESHIPS!"
• James, "Your drunk aliens are fucking hilarious!" + shyness, sneaky reply emails from the library he works at
• watching documentaries on the Inuit at my parents' house, being incredibly inspired, craving the cold
• watching some of Megamind for the 2nd time, but only halfway through - finding new little details and hilarities
• getting off of work early
• going to Sam's Club alone, dancing in the aisles
• making pizza dough to freeze + white wheat bread with flax seeds
• "I'm legally off my tits at the moment"
• listening to Anathema in my office, unwinding before bed
• "I like the way you stand when you blow-dry your hair" "Hahahaha what?" "It's cute."
• talking to Levi, opposite sides of the fence, getting the urge to climb it but then remembering the barbed wire
• exploring the path behind the shop
• making meatloaf, then realizing I didn't have ketchup for the sauce - running to Target, getting produce + seasonal (winter!?) cider from the liquor store
• "LET'S JAM!" - making strawberry jam
• unwinding before bed with a bottle of cider
• sleeping in until 9:20, making it to work on time anyway
• singing "Like a Lotus!" to the tune of "Like A Virgin" at lunch after Thom said "that looks like a Lotus"
• "Imagine a velociraptor leaning out the driver's window of a Benz."
• going to Evelyn's to do laundry + dinner -- grilled chicken, potato, corn, tomato & basil bread, and cake - giving her some of my homemade strawberry jam
• "Will you ever be willing to move out of Florida?" "Certainly" - feeling like a massive burden has been removed from my shoulders
• getting coffee for D and bringing it to him at work
• "And we'd get to dance around a ballroom and sing in French or something fruity like that." "Yes French singing and dancing."
• Sitting at the lunch table talking about my father - "but instead of looking for the tools he already has, he just buys new ones." There was a moment of silence and then Thom said, "I do that with chainsaws."
• jumping into Pete's truck to ask about potential new work boots, then offering to leave him + Chris alone. He shouted, "NO, STAY. YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HE DOES TO ME WHEN YOU AREN'T HERE."
• watching Chris trying to fix a cup holder, laughing when it suddenly expanded and smacked him in the cheek
• going to my mother's house, doing a puzzle with my nephew, watching all of Megamind with her
• getting dressed up nice, bringing David a caramel frappuccino at work + getting one for me
• driving to Jennifer's, hanging out with her + Lee + Tyler + new people - smoking hookah, watching smoke billow from my mouth + later drinking whiskey
• swinging on the playground at night with them, kind of drunk, examining the stars and feeling elated
• watching Jennifer do a flip on the swing (somehow successfully) + watching Tyler climb up on top of the set, being amazed
• driving home with my sunroof and windows down, being more than elated at the cooler weather
