due to extreme symptoms, I am forced to eat only low FODMAP items. FODMAP stands for F ermentable O ligosaccharides, D isaccharides, M onosaccharides and P olyols.
this excludes many items that are in processed foods such as garlic, onion, gluten, lactose, honey, many/most fruits, and some veggies.
so far, I have not had symptoms when eating food with gluten or lactose and am not fully restricting those two. I do drink lactose-free milk, however.
