Highly doubted that I would ever actually do this, but it keeps seeming like a better and better idea.

    - what are words?

        - they are complications within themselves

        - they clutter thoughts and ideas

        - although there are countless words, they are still sometimes too specific and detract from actual feeling and meaning

    - actions take on more meaning

    - allows you to only focus on relationships that "matter", if any, because it's pretty hard to meet and/or keep in contact with others when you cannot speak

    - clearer, more focused thoughts

    - emphasizes observation

        - you won't clutter conversation with what you have to say, whether good or not

        - gain a better understanding of others

    - increased focus in all other aspects of life

    - could be a potent symbolic act of penance, if needed

    - you must express yourself in ways other than verbal communication, so channeling expression through other mediums such as writing and music becomes more fine-tuned

    - could be used to convey extreme displeasure to others, if necessary

    - "aura of mystery" significantly increases

    - promotes discreetness and confidentiality

    - possibly helps to understand oneself more

    - less distraction (talking does, indeed, take up a very large amount of time)
