If I was a ghetto-fabulous diva who went to this school, I would celebrate all of these advantages I find myself enjoying with one simple phrase: "@cCe$$." Right, yes. I'll add to this as I continue to discover what my money is paying for (they don't like to actually tell me or anything...)

And this is in no way a justification for these services or this institution being in any way a fabulous one. 'tis merely a meek list of things that seem to catch me off guard with their pleasurable qualities here. I feel like that is very necessary to mention.

  • a lack of unity over school spirit (which is perfect for me, for I'd fail at circumstances otherwise)
  • a plethora of gorgeous places to lurk and do schoolwork
  • Bobst Library and all the powers and knowledge of student functioning found within
  • college discounts on food, technology, etc.
  • connections to individuals who've discovered themselves being in extremely similar circumstances to my own - much stronger in similarities than anyone I've ever met prior to this whole college student experience
  • constantly (and rather pointlessly) updated high-tech gym equipment, including elliptical machines with individual touch screens that support full iPod integration and controlling, live television, and all the classic (but now more lavishly displayed) cardio machine features
  • EasyBib.com - and who would have even thought there were privileges to be found for said services I've relied on since the 5th grade?
  • fresh water spickets for refilling my Sigg bottle
  • insanely fast wifi (I downloaded a torrent of The Sims 3 complete with every expansion pack in a good hour in the Silver Center [this usually lasts up to a week in downloading time])
  • living in the Union Square/Washington Square/Greenwich Village area
  • meal plan nourishment that is apparently way above average
  • NYU Home's secret powers such as 10 GB cloud disk storage, the NYU Life tab and all it connects you to, and the Off-Campus Housing Registry
  • ostentatious school ID's that also happen to be far more aesthetically pleasing than numerous others I've seen
  • the real estate services they provide when searching for an apartment off-campus
  • The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy - which I happen to find myself relying on quite often. I can't help but be curious about how much Standford charges for the apparently "high-class" PDF version of all of this...
  • the Wasserman Center for Career Development (which I never have any desire to use)
