my skin type: very sensitive (i get allergic reactions to a lot of products that contain a lot of chemicals) and very dry (after showering i feel like a raisin).
my hair type: thin and sleek. dark blonde with grey undertones. a bit on the dry side and prone to breaking. sensitive scalp.

━ shampoo
- cynthia sylvia stout
- this smells like beer and made me want to vomit. it also did literally nothing for my hair so ok thanks for nothing.
- daddy-o
- i used this because it smells nice (violet candy), but it didn't do anything for my hair at all. it's mostly for people with platinum/silver hair.
- fairly traded honey shampoo
- TOO MUCH HONEY. IT GAVE ME A MIGRAINE. and it was so moisturising that all volume left my hair. do not recommend if you have thinner + straight hair.
- i love juicy
- this smells like a fruit cocktail, it's so amazing. BUT it's super cleansing. like, it really strips your scalp from all natural oils and whatever else resides on your skin. it makes you feel really clean, but i don't think it's very healthy if you don't have any problems with greasy hair.
━ solid shampoo bars
- godiva
- this smell is very flowery. it supposedly really moisturises your hair so you don't need to use a conditioner afterwards, but i haven't noticed much of that. it feels a Little bit more moisturised than when i use other shampoo bars, but not a lot. i still use a conditioner because i have dry hair.
- honey i washed my hair
- i really really really liked this one. it smells Very much like honey, but it wasn't as overpowering to me as the showergel or liquid shampoo they have. it's so moisturising and the texture of my hair was really great afterwards. just like lullaby (see below), it did crumble very quickly.
- jason and the argan oil
- this one wasn't very memorable for me either. it smelled like roses which was nice, but i don't think it did anything revolutionary for my hair.
- lullaby
- ok, so i Adore the smell of this. it's a very subtle lavender smell and makes you a bit relaxed. it made my hair feel So soft and i think it's great for everyday use. the thing is, they used a different recipe for this shampoo bar than most of their others and it crumbles after like five uses which is Ridiculous? so if you do want to get it, i suggest you keep the bar outside of the shower, get your hair wet, turn off the shower, grab the bar, soap your hair, put the bar back outside of the shower, then turn the shower back on LMAO. that's how i do it with all of the bars and it's really helped with crumbling.
- new
- i really like this one. it supposedly helps with hair loss and hair growth, but i haven't noticed much of that because my hair loss is stress related. it makes your head tingle and makes it feel really clean. it also smells Amazing (i think? cinnamon?). it does dry your hair a little bit so you definitely need to use a conditioner. also keep it out of your eyes because it Hurts.
- seanik
- this one isn't super special. i like the smell because it's very neutral. it smells very ocean-y if that makes sense and i really enjoy that. it gives a little bit extra volume, but again, in my case anyway, it's barely noticeable after i've been outside for five minutes.
━ other shampoos
- big
- i Adore the smell of this. it smells very neutral and ocean-y like seanik, but i think it wasn't very good for my scalp because i noticed more hair loss after using it. i think it's because there's chunks of salt in it that you rub directly onto your scalp which makes it have a bit of a scrubbing effect. i think i just washed my hair straight off my scalp LOL.
- trichomania
- again, divine smell (coconut). it made my hair a bit softer, but it was annoying to use and the coconut flakes kept getting everywhere.
━ conditioners
- american cream
- i used this one for Years because it smelled amazing (vanilla), but i realised that it didn't actually do anything for my hair at all.
- retread
- this one smells incredible. it's probably one of my favourite smells from lush and it stays in your hair for days. idk how to describe it really? it's more herbal-y and medicinal? again, i don't really think it actually does anything revolutionary for my hair, though.
- sugar daddy-o
- this is a solid conditioner and i enjoyed using it. it lasts Ages. i enjoy the smell immensely (violet candy), but AGAIN, didn't really do anything special to my hair.
- veganese
- if you want your hair to smell like lemon-scented cleaning product, this is the one for you. honestly, the smell made me sick and the conditioner is so light that it didn't do shit for me.
━ hair masks
- h'suan wen hua
- this smells Revolting? there's eggs in there and honestly it really makes you want to not use it. this mask is specifically targetted at people with dry hair and supposedly adds a lot of moisture. it's been a while since i used it, but i do think it helped a little bit. the effect wears off pretty quickly though and i have since used hair masks from other brands which worked A Lot better.
- roots
- this is another lush product i was recommended to deal with my hair loss. the thing is, i use so many products right now to combat my hair loss that i have no idea which ones are working and which aren't LOL. but i do enjoy using this product a lot. it's very minty so when you apply it and leave it in a few minute your scalp will start to tingle and when you rinse it out your scalp will feel So refreshed. regardless of whether it's helping with hair loss or not, i do think it's really keeping my scalp healthy.

━ scrubs/cleansers/masks
- angels on bare skin
- i love this one. very neutral "clean" smell. does what it's supposed to do. scrubs without it being to harsh. you can definitely use this every other day i think.
- cup o' coffee
- the coffee smell is super overpowering and if you have sensitive skin, i do not recommend this. it made me break out because the scrub particles are super harsh and stripped my face of all its natural oils which are necessary to have a balanced skin.
- let the good times roll
- i'm using this one right now. it smells like popcorn which is nice but maybe not ideal (i don't like products that smell like food :p). there's actual bits of popcorn in there which is annoying because they get Everywhere. still, it does what it's supposed to do and my skin feels really clean after using it.
- herbalism
- it looks like you're putting weed on your face. also smells a bit like weed. i like this one a lot, but for sensitive skin like mine i would recommend angels on bare skin or let the good times roll instead. this one is more for people who have oilier skin i think?
- mask of magnaminty
- this is my go to face mask even though you also have to be careful with it if you have sensitive skin. i recommend using it once every week or even two weeks. it cleanses really well and i usually use it when my nose no longer feels soft which means my face needs to be cleaned thoroughly.
- ocean salt
- don't use this if you have sensitive skin!!!!! the scrub particles are so big and they will hurt your face and make you break out!!! you can use it on the rest of your body but i don't really recommend that either if you have sensitive/dry skin.
- ultrabland
- LOVE OF MY LIFE. perfect for sensitive and dry skin. this doesn't have any scrub particles in it, but still cleanses so so so well. i use this twice a day and i'm in love, honestly?
━ moisturisers
- FULL OF GRACE
- putting this one first because it's a serum bar and this has really saved my skin from being dry? i like a lot of the lush moisturisers and i think they're very good, but i still need to use this serum bar before applying my moisturiser or else my skin will still feel annoying to me? it has a very neutral smell.
- celestial
- this is the moisturiser that i'm currently using and i really like it. the smell is very neutral and nice and soft. it's not too thick but still moisturising and it's very gentle so perfect for sensitive skin that's prone to redness. it works well for me in combination with the serum.
- enzymion
- this is one of the first lush products i ever bought. i really liked it, but i don't think it did a whole lot for my skin? i definitely think it's a very standard type of moisturiser for people who don't really have a lot of skincare problems.
- imperialis
- again, this one smelled Amazing. like enzymion, it's a very standard moisturiser for all skin types so it didn't really give me what i needed.
- vanishing cream
- again, this one didn't do much for me. i remember my skin still feeling quite dry.
━ toners
- skip these. they don't work. the bottle is so big and i didn't like using it so by the end i just sprayed it on my pillows because they do smell really nice.
━ fresh face masks
- catastrophe cosmetic
- this one feels more like a regular clay mask, i think? i felt like it dried out my skin a little bit? also the product itself dried up really quickly so i wasn't even able to finish it.
- cosmetic warrior
- smells like garlic. it's quite the experience. i liked it, but it didn't blow me away or anything. it's just a nice and simple face mask for all skin types.
- love lettuce
- this is the one i got last time i turned in some of my clean pots. i really like it. it smells very herbal/medicinal like you're in a spa and there's small scrub particles in it. it makes my skin feels So clean and not at all like i stripped all of the oil off my face like cup o' coffee and ocean salt do. do keep in mind to only use it once every week or every two weeks.
- oatfix
- did not like this one. smelled too much like food and it was very overpowering. i think it gave me a migraine. also there's a lot of bits of food in it that constantly fall off.
- rosy cheeks
- i hated the texture of this. it made my skin feel so dry and i hated the way it felt on my face. i still get goosebumps thinking about it.
L I P S
━ lip products
- buttered brazils
- nope. don't like this one. doesn't smell or taste nice, it smells smokey? nutty? idek? my lips don't feel moisturised At All.
- honey trap
- i Love this one. it smells so nice (very sweet and sugary) and my lips feel so fucking moisturised it's ridiculous.
- popcorn
- this is the only lip scrub i've tried so far. i enjoy it. i don't mind that it tastes like popcorn because you're actually allowed to eat it lmao. it does what it says it does and it feels very nice.
B O D Y
━ shower gels
- dirty springwash
- this smells and feels amazing. if you like the smell of mint, you'll love this. this shower gel is amazing to use after a workout or after a hot summer day.
- happy hippy
- this is the first lush product i Ever bought and i loved it so so so much. it smells like grapefruit and made my skin feel a lot softer than when i used my old showergel from the supermarkter LMAO. i even washed my hair with it sometimes and my hair felt super lovely.
- it's raining men
- ABORT! TOO MUCH FUCKING HONEY!
- the olive branch
- this is the one i'm currently using and have been using for years. it's very moisturising because it contains olive oil. the smell is Divine. i wish it lasted longer, but i can't complain. if your skin feels super dry after showering, i recommend trying this one. it's not a miracle worker or anything, but it'll help and you'll be able to apply your lotion more easily because your skin will feel smoother.
━ body conditioners
- ro's argan
- this is the only body conditioner i've used so far and i did not really have a good experience with it which is why i'm a little hesitant to try any of the others. it feels quite nice when you apply it and it smells very lovely, but when i rinsed the product off and stepped out of the shower my skin felt so incredibly dry and VERY itchy. my skin started looking super red and i couldn't even apply lotion because it stung so much. i'm not sure if i'm just allergic to something in this particular product or if body conditioners don't work well for me at all, but if you have sensitive and dry skin i recommend getting a tester and applying it on one part of your body before getting a big tub.
━ scrubs
- rub rub rub
- i think this is a lot of people's favourite lush product Ever? it's a very mild scrub that works So effectively. it contains a lot of salt so (again) i feel like it smells very ocean-y. there's a little bit of lemon in there as well i think which makes it smell even more delicious. i use this a lot (too much tbh it's not good for your skin but ssshhh).
━ bath bombs/bubble bars
- butterball
- this is a very simple bath bomb, no fancy colours or effects in your bath water. it smells very neutral and makes your skin feel very smooth and soft when you're IN the bath, but once you get out i feel like the effect wears off rather quickly?
- pop in the bath
- this bubble bar smells Exactly like the olive branch which is one of my favourite smells in the store. it doesn't really do anything special to your skin, i think? but the smell lasts a lot longer when you use a bubble bar than when you use the showergel which is Good.
━ lotions
- charity pot
- i got a small one of these when i went to italy because i didn't want to take a big tub with me. it is Very greasy which is annoying but my legs felt soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good after it finally soaked into my skin after seven fucking hours. it smells very buttery?
- dream cream
- this one is perfect if your skin is super sensitive or you have any skin conditions like eczema. it's not Super moisturising, though. it's quite light, too light for my dry ass legs. it also smells super herbally/medicinal which i Love.
- sympathy for the skin
- this is the one i'm currently using and even though i hate that it smells like food (like a goddamn MILKSHAKE) i feel like it's much more moisturising than dream cream while not being too greasy.
H A N D S
━ hand creams
- handy gurugu
- this is quite a thick and moisturising hand cream. it takes quite a while to dry and i wasn't 100% fond of the smell though i think it's because i got annoyed that my hands felt so greasy lmao. it smells more florally, i thinkkk? i can't really remember.
- love and light
- this is the hand cream i'm currently using and really loving. i hate hand creams that take ages to dry and i just have to sit there and wait so this one is perfect for me. it's very moisturising but still dries really quickly. i do use it a lot during the day though. i use it every time i wash my hands because my hands always feel Super dry when i do. if you don't like that i'd suggest a heavier hand cream. oh, and this one smells like oranges.
