- bright pink walls and pink begonia border (our house used to be a bed & breakfast and each room was flower/color-themed)
- a white metal daybed that i slept in with my dog and often one or two cats
- large white dresser. the drawers had very sharp corners and one day while pretending to be a dog, i ran my knee into one of those corners (see: list of scars)
- closet with white sliding doors. i spent a lot of time using the closet as some sort of fort or hiding spot.
- a very large jar of pennies that had belonged to my grandfather. many of them were wheat ears and i got in very big trouble when i was six for sending my friends home with handfuls and handfuls of pennies.
- around thirty stuffed animals with names and distinct personalities and social relationships. they sent mail to each other, went to art class, gave each other christmas gifts, etc.
- my beloved cardboard and faux-fur mushroom-shaped stool that i saved from our cabin in canada and have been keeping my mother from discarding for years. i still have it!
