Appearance

• Description:
  • His hair is straight and usually falls to the middle of his scalpulae--unless he has a hair cut (which does not happen very often, as he does not like his hair being tampered with). In the case that he, the shortest it would go is at the nape of his neck. Sticking out from under his hair's top layers are two longer and semi-thick strands of hair; sort of like tails. These are not as visible when his hair is at its usual length, but they stick out if his hair is cut short. The tails fall about to the middle of his back and end in a slight curl.
  • On his back is a large tattoo of two wings, stopping just below the bottom of his rib cage. The tattoo's ink shares the same color as his hair. What strikes Alex's tattoos as different from the norm is that they seem to move if observed closely--not that he would give anyone the chance to look at them properly.
  • Alex can usually be seen wearing fancy, but flexible and free, clothing. But, he can also be seen wearing tight clothing. He is quite fond of lace. In terms of preferred colors, he prefers white and pastels. Every now and then, he wears dresses and crop tops because he does not align to gender roles. Basically, he just wears whatever the fuck he wants, so as long as the clothing meets his standards.

  • Alex's alternate appearance is his phoenix form, which he can freely change to and from. As a bird, his feathers share the same color as his hair.
  • If the length of his streamer is factored in, his total height would be a little over 6 feet. His wingspan is the same as his height.
  • To draw a comparison to actual birds, his phoenix form looks a lot like a resplendent quetzal with the head crest of a secretary bird.

  • There are about two ways his personality can go.
    • If he is not alright with you:
      • Expect a lot of caustic and biting sarcasm from him in the situation that he does acknowledge your presence. The chances of befriending him if you're in this category is very low, so good luck with trying to attempt a truce.
    • If he is alright with you:
      • Alex probably won't be mean to you--unless you're Cain or Rei, he's really fed up/exasperated with your antics, or if he's given a reason to.
      • If you're lucky enough to be one of his closer friends, only then will you see how he truly acts. A genuine Alex = extremely soft. If you ever land in this list, you're very lucky; be thankful.
  • No matter how he regards you, it does take Alex a lot of time to warm up with and trust others--unless you're a kid. He seems to be softer and a lot more lenient with children.

While he may experience secondary romantic attraction to others after developing a strong emotional bond, he is devoted to Cain most of all. • Background:
  • The child of Queen Adelaide and King Wilhelm, Alex was the former prince of the kingdom Argentium, a sanctuary for non-humans and mythical beings, located roughly around the border of present-day Germany and Austria. Argentium was not hidden to the mortals of the surrounding area, but its nature as a sanctuary for non-humans and the like was. Living in the capital, Aurumbella, Alex was raised as a girl for protection, although he now suspects that the protection reasoning was a placeholder for something more.
  • As a child, Alex was arranged to married with Cain. They first met on the year 1106, and continued to meet each other whenever they could during the next decade. Unfortunately, Cain was murdered on the day of their wedding, leaving Alex in a state of depression. He would not find out about the truth of this incident until much later in his lifetime.
  • To make things worse, the humans of a nearby village discovered that the residents of Aurumbella were not humans, due to the unfortunate negligence of a child. Believing Aurumbella to be filled with followers of the Devil, the village raided the kingdom and burned it to the ground. Alex's parents managed to send him out before he could be engulfed in the flames, but subsequently died as a result. Traumatized by the incident, which exacerbated his depression, Alex fled and went into hiding in today's the Black Forest, where he would spend many centuries hiding before he decided to come out and try to re-assimilate into civilization.

Miscellaneous:

• Alex's character is slightly modified to fit the rp/au in which he's involved, but this usually is not substantial. For instance, in the current au Alex is in, he is working as a full-time model.
• Alex is vegan. This is due to him being an ice phoenix, which are frugivores. He is unable to digest meat and dairy products, while eggs are just something he refuses to eat as a bird.
