The times they are a'changing.
- Not let other people get to me. [Will give me more time to focus on art, skateboarding, and driving].
- Try to deal with mom [let Aunt Jacque give the ultimatums]
- Leave summer to tanning, skateboarding, partying, driving and...
- Get a job! [consider: pizza parlor, used book store, record store {Guestroom Records?}, Movie Store {possibly lame, but, DISCOUNTS!}, Pops {down the street} ]
- Save more money [consider investing in cute sun hats, longboard or skateboard, bicycle, and then save the rest for food, "party favors", records, and car/gas fund]
- Gas Fund = Consider asking "ride bummers" for $$$
- Spend as little time as possible at house during the summer. [Time should be spent away from home, statistics show the less time at home creates a bigger want to be near it.]
- Time spent at home should be spent outside [reading is just as possible outside as it is inside, as well as drawing, and singing. Also see #3]
- Find a good friend to spend time with [gives not only a good friend, but also excuses to leave the house to go to parties]
- When without a friend, find a cute boy [consider someone who reminds you of a good band that reminds you of summer]
- Bands for Summer = Bishop Allen, Simon and Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, Belle and Sebastian, Polaris, Wavves, Built to Spill, Sublime, Born Ruffians, Vampire Weekend, Algrnon Cadwalader, Rilo Kiley. [See: "Summerz Tunez" Playlist-List]
- Speaking of bands, try to also invest in good shows [make sure the shows are cheap {See: OKC INFOSHOP }, if not, must be a good exception for the cost of ticket]
- Go thrift store shopping first [leads to good movies {see#9 but also #8}, belts, bags, and clothes to look cute while boarding]
- When in doubt- go to stores higher in status [See #5]
- Spend more time at Mark's [will make up for missed lessons and could possibly make more money when helping engineer]
- Spend every Sunday at home [almost every, will make mom happy when you attend church, and will be nice to see family {see #7} ]
- Consider caving into believing in God [or not, must not fall for peer pressure]
- Wear less makeup [not that you wear a lot anyways, yet it will help clear up skin. As will swimming and tanning {see #3} ]
- Go natural with tanning [always wear sun screen, you'll still get color, but it will prevent wrinkles in old age]
- Let hair be natural [with color and style. Styling is good, but once hair is long enough natural curls will do. color = expensive and will wash out with swimming]
- When it comes to swimming, Don't. [make few exceptions, like 4th of July, or night]
- Invite someone out for 4th of July [makes the holiday less shitty]
- Summer homework [if you have any because you'll be an ART MAJOR next year!! See #8]
- When school starts up work hard and be a good student [don't consider extra credit unless absolutely necessary but continue to work hard. Parties can still be attended on the weekends]
- [see #8]When reading, consider highlighting favorite words and phrases [words can be a great use for expanding vocabulary{see#26}]
- expand vocabulary
- be charming [consider: cheek kissing as a way of greeting]
- if a friend from afar comes to visit make time for the two of you to hang out
- take anxiety pills, if prescribed [these goals should be met with optimism and thought of as fun and not as chores]
- Speaking of chores, don't lack on them. [keep bathroom, kitchen, room and laundry all clean.]
- buy or borrow memory card for camera [memories of your great year should be saved]
- buy new "polaroid" (promise to share)
- Consider buying Lomography camera [if this plan fails, see #9, and insist she develops them, make copies]
- Consider a new phone [2 years hits this summer, time to upgrade]
- discover new bands to love[see: #11, 12, 13{band shirts create cute skateboarding clothes} ]
- Don't make plans to break plans [try to always follow through]

- when going to parties always consider younger classmen, like they say, reputations are built over time[and it never hurts to be thought of as the cool upper classman]
- try to be nice to everyone, do things for people but without being a doormat
- if/when made into a doormat, be honest [as you should always try to be]
- see #26,27- always say "please" and "thank-you"
- try to be clever and witty [good comebacks create a nice reputation]
- [see #40]while making new friends, if mom insists on church friends then See #2 and remember that people from church party hard also
- when goofing around consider being extra silly [makes you look like you could care less even when you care the most, plus doing something half-heartedly when trying to be funny isn't funny at all, See #58]
- NEVER DO ANYTHING HALF-HEARTEDLY [even if it's bad, if you're going to get busted then See #59, and also See #60]
- It will make a great story for your kids

- dont steal from liquor cabinet [see #5,60]
- make every night have a good ending [See #59]
- drink more tea[its better for you than coffee and is good hot or cold] Consider: chai tea, green tea with mango and french vanilla cream
- read all NYLON magazines received in your mailbox [preferably more than once. Time #1- look through scanning making note of favorite articles you want to read, Time #2- read the articles that looked particularly good, Time #3- read the rest]
- sandles are your best bet for a summer shoe, tennis shoes are good for boarding [in this case, VANS, please], other than that go barefoot.[let nature take a toll on your feet, it will be good for them in the end]
