Q: How do I get into Pixel art? / What tips or advice would you give?
- A: You should do mastercopies of video games. Some good examples to study from would be Legend of Zelda: a link to the past, Final fantasy Tactics A2, and any of the DS or older Pokemon games.
Q: What canvas Size do you recommend using?
- A: It really varies on your comfort level and what you're intending to draw. If you're working on a game, you should check the game engine requirements as it varies per engine. Moreover, if you're not comfortable doing larger pieces, I suggest you to start off with 50x50 px or 100x100 and slowly expand from there.
Q: What programs do you use? Do you have any brushes I can use?
- A: I use Paint Tool Sai. I use the binary tool for my pixel art. For digital art, I flip back and forth with Paint tool Sai and Photoshop CC. I'm using Zedig's brush assets for photoshop, and for my sketching pen, it can be found here
Q: Do you have any tutorials for pixel art?
Q: Are your commissions / request / art trades open right now? I am interested in commissioning you.
- A: Please shoot me a message on twitter to inquire about them.
