- witches and magic (Bibi Blocksberg, Die kleine Hexe...)
- walks in the forest, mushroom foraging with my mum and grandma (especially before Easter when they'd hide chocolate eggs for us along the way)
- cats, animals in general
- building doll houses, illustrations of houses with an open front so you could peek into all the rooms, my Playmobil Mansion
- giving my mother directions to draw a princess for me

- spending time with my grandmas: I liked visiting my Grandma Inge in the Café where she met with her neighbor, her brother and her friends. She would sometimes buy me a lottery ticket. In summer I joined her swimming laps at the local pool. I picked tiny wild strawberries in her garden and loved going through her wardrobe, trying things on (I was sometimes allowed to keep them). She often allowed me to do her makeup, nails and hair. When I slept over she would make me hot honey milk before bedtime. I loved it when she made pizza with tinned mushrooms, those completely drenched Sunday roast potatoes, and her usual selection of Christmas cookies - especially the ones with cheese.
