- Kitchen raid: Use up all my dry ingredients (cereal, polenta, grains, nuts and pasta, canned food, etc.) and create recipes around them. Only get some fresh ingredients.
- No bread: Don't buy bread or anything that I love eating on bread. Like, you know, butter. And cream cheese. I need to break this addiction.
- Fasting: Before I incorporate better eating habits, I want to try and only drink some shakes every day before adding a few fruits and veggies again. Let's see how that goes.
- Stop smoking: I mean, I will still bum the occasional party cigarette but I won't buy them anymore. It's a nasty habit I only started because of social anxiety. Gotta suffer through the awkward situations now like all the others, I guess.
- Stop eating meat: Ugh. Same as for smoking. I can take it or leave it. I used to be a vegetarian for almost 10 years. Tried some meat for the last two, liked some of it, definitely not most of it. And since it's cruel and unhealthy and, yeah, rather disgusting (and I don't even love the taste) I might just wanna give it up again. The hard thing is: I'm not gonna flip out if a tiny bit of bacon is still on my slice of pizza or if the dumplings are cooked in bone broth. I mean, where to draw the line? I feel like people want labels here because if you DON'T call yourself a vegetarian everyone just assumes you love eating meat and don't think twice about making roast chicken for you (ew).
- Walk it off: I love my car. I love driving. I do it constantly. Sometimes I even skip taking the tube because I'd have to walk there. Gosh, I'm such a lazy bum now. But I used to take long, solitary walks through the forest, listening to music or a podcast. It's like meditation. So I'd ultimately like to take a short walk every day. Even if it's just around the block, to form the habit.
- Move: On that note, I need to get my bike fixed. And go swimming every week. And think about my training plan and some weight exercises. But I'll start with the walking first.
- Theatre and museum: I'd like to go and see a play (or musical, opera, comedy show etc.) every two months. Should be managable, right? I might like to alternate this with museum visits. Let's see.
- Books: Finish at least one book every month. How hard can it be...
- Beauty: Do a peeling and use a face and hair mask every week (ok, let's be real, every two weeks). Start applying body lotion. I'm old now. Duh.
- Art: Draw something every week.
