  • RELEASE - What did you let go of this year? //Nothin' much. I gained some insights and have a lot of ideas but I wasn't quite able to put them into action yet. This is what 2012 is for.
  • FOOD - What was the best meal/culinary experience you had this year? What made it so great? //Oh, the vegetarian restaurant in Prague. So delicious yet affordable. Falafel with guacamole at Maoz in Barcelona (as well as fruity sangria and steaming hot paella). Nan bread, Rose Bakery's lemon cake, hot brownie on ice, Caesar's salad, Zotter chocolate, home-made eggplant burgers, mojitos. Going wild in the French supermarkets.
  • FUN - What was the most fun you had this year? //Floating near the shore in the Mediterranean Sea with my diver's mask and playing with a little octopus. My trip to France was a lot of fun in general, as well as all my other travels. I also loved making dance videos, playing singstar and our "Come Dine With Me" evenings.
  • FASHION - What was your most beloved/favorite outfit? How would you describe your style this year? How did the way you dress change? Do you have a fashion concept for 2012? //Stripey shirts, (denim) skirts, a green parka, trench coats, boat shoes, white/light blue blouses. I think I dressed a little bit more preppy than usual. Blouses, blazers, boat shoes, stuff like that. My fashion concept for 2012 is pretty much the same, but I want to buy more unique, versatile clothes and maybe also dress in a more natural way. Less make-up, comfortable shoes, only colours, cuts and fabrics I truly love and suit me.
  • ACCOMPLISHMENTS - What were you deeply proud of doing, making, being, etc. this year? //Casting bronze was so cool, and building a huge canvas was really big as well. I got some shit done for university, which is good, and I hope I can keep up this fast pace. I liked being a teacher somehow, it's nice to have that kind of responsibility. I loved being in charge suring some of my vacations, finding great places, talking to strangers, fixing things and solving problems. I'm proud of me talking to someone I was severely angry at. I'm proud of my very basic Russian skills and that me and my boyfriend still stick together like glue. I was proud to be the friend, girlfriend and daughter of very amazing persons.
  • BREAKTHROUGHS - What were your biggest breakthroughs? This can be in any area: emotional, spiritual, career, etc. //I left church. This felt so good, I can't even tell you. Even though this meant I lost my job (catholic work contract, whatever, I don't even want to know). Additionally, I put some emotional distance between me and some friends who have changed very much and are quite negative people now. And I kind of accepted my choice to become a teacher... I am not that dissatisfied with it anymore which is good.
  • CRUSHES AND LOVE - Who or what did you crush out on this year? Who or what did you fall in love with? //My boyfriend, sometimes more, sometimes less. Oh, of course, my safety husband! Two dark-haired men (J. and L.), but that was really just a 5min crush. Miss Lexi, the love of my life and safety WIFE! And a fucklot of kitties.
  • TRAVEL - Did you travel? Where did you go? Where would you like to go in 2012? //_March 23 - 28: Barcelona / March 31 - April 3: Prague / April 11 - 21 : Hungary (bronze casting seminar) / August 13 - 21: Zotter Chocolate Factory in Riegersburg, Balaton, Vienna, Frequency Festival / September 8 - 17: France, Côte d'Azur / September 26 - 30: Venice Biennale / October 5- 6: Munich, Bad Tölz, Tegernsee, Traunstein, Chiemsee_ /// Probably I won’t have that much time to travel in 2012, but I’ll definitely go on some adventures! I was thinking of Sweden/Scandinavia, the UK or Russia and definitely France or Italy.
  • MUSIC - What were some of your favorite records and songs? What song will always remind you of this year? What song lyrics reverberated with you? //James Vincent McMorrow, Foo Fighters, Chloe Soundtrack, Tenacious D - Fuck Her Gently / Tribute, St. Vincent - Cruel, The National, Richard Anthony - Itsy Bitsy Petit Bikini, Sucker Punkch Soundtrack, Joan as Police Woman - The Magic, Beirut - Goshen, Metronomy - The Bay, Amanda Palmer - Map of Tasmania, Austra - Lose It, Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers, The Strokes - Under the Cover of Darkness, My Name is Music - Black Summer, #6 (Lexi's French Twist), Жанна Агузарова и Браво - Медицинский институт, Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill, Beyonce - Single Ladies, Kim Hyun Jung (김현정) - Funkytown, Eurotrash (and many more, and yes, more GOOD music, but these songs are connected to some memories)
  • CONCERTS - Did you see any live shows? //Fleet Foxes, Frequency Festival (Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs, The National, The Ting Tings, ...)
  • MOVIES - Your favourite films of the year. New releases and older titles welcome! //Millenium Trilogy, This is England, Vincent Will Meer, Sucker Punch, The Guard, Blue Valentine, Les Petits Mouchoirs
  • TV - Your favourite TV shows of the year. //Miranda, Breaking Bad, United States of Tara, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Big Bang Theory, Luther
  • BOOKS - Your favourite books/stories/poems/plays. //I enjoyed Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy and John Green's books An Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns as well as David Nicholls' One Day and Jennifer Egan’s A Visit from the Goon Squad. For uni I read some "In Yer Face"-plays: Patrick Marber's Closer, Sarah Kane's Blasted and Anthony Neilson's Penetrator.
