RELEASE - What did you let go of this year? // I let go of my obsession with Frank. I accepted that we can never be what I wanted us to be. We still have to work out how to be good friends but I think he won't be haunting me anymore. Apart from that, I got rid of a whole car load of stuff. I sold some of it at the flea market and donated the rest. It felt so good to see it go. This is an ongoing process though, my cellar has a lot more to give. Unfortunately I let go of some creative (career) goals for now and took on another teaching job. It just wasn't a priority. I had to leave some really great people behind at my old school and wish they could have come with me.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS - What were you deeply proud of doing, making, being, etc. this year? What made you feel good? // I'm better. So much better. I've stopped crying all the time. For months now. I finally moved to Munich. I feel much better here. I even started doing little art projects sometimes, I'm more creative, I've got plans and company. I went on my first trip outside of Europe (more to follow). Recently I also got the feeling that I become more and more like my mum. If that's a good thing or a bad thing is yet to be determined.

BREAKTHROUGHS - What were your biggest breakthroughs? This can be in any area: emotional, spiritual, career, etc. // Getting better at being alone. That year in the countryside really tought me some lessons. I'm a little more confident, self-reliant, less hesitant. I make plans. Most of the time I actually follow them. I got to know myself better. I take less shit from others. I feel like a normal human being most of the time.

HAPPINESS - What was the most fun you had this year? When were you really happy? // This year I'll simply refer to my monthly lists: January / February / March / April / May / June / July / August / September / October / November / December

LOVE - Who did you fall in love with this year? // Konstantin was such a lovely summer affair. We spent most of our time in lakes around Munich and made out. Apparently I didn't do him any good though and he moved to Bamberg anyway. So I met Jeremias. We've got a weird connection, it feels as if we'd known each other for ages. I've never enjoyed lying next to someone more. Let's see what happens next year. I can't really say that I have been / am in love with anyone this year. There was always Frank and that old fucker, hope.

LOSS - Who did you miss? // Lilly died. But I miss Cleo even more. I haven't seen too much of my mum since I moved to Munich. I miss Lexi sometimes. I miss my colleagues from SOB. I miss what I once had with Frank.

Oslo felt enchanted and full of synchronicity, Marrakech was a big adventure. I learned to drive in British traffic and spent lazy hours at the Mediterranean.

FASHION - What was your most beloved/favorite outfit? How would you describe your style this year? How did the way you dress change? // I wore THE most boring outfits this year. Practical > fashionable. All my dresses collected dust on their hangers. I loved black, simple cuts, nothing too fancy or fussy. Seems like I desperately have to update my wardrobe. I wore less jewellery, just long, skinny earrings or a tiny necklace. My usual make-up, hardly any lipstick. It just wasn't a priority. There was so much to do.

MUSIC - What were some of your favorite records and songs? What song will always remind you of this year? What song lyrics reverberated with you? // I went to StereoWald Festival and Rockavaria, so I saw Wanda, Muse, Bilderbuch, Graveyard, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats (...) live this year. The Austrians were a big hit for me this year as well as everything on my Disco Hex playlist.

MATERIALISM - Something you wished for and got (for yourself)? // I paid for elaborate trips around Europe and North Africa. I spent a lot of money on my flat and hired a personal trainer.
