  • Coming home from work when it's still light outside. Seriously, such a rare pleasure.
  • Unexpected praise from a person with very high standards.
  • Seeing Michi teaching - I should watch all my friends this year, it's really interesting how they talk to the students.
  • Dancing to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" with my colleagues and my 6th grade English class (who also feed me with cookies and want to sign me up for a singing contest!)
  • New dresses. Yes yes yes. I even recycled some old ones I actually wanted to sell at the flea market.
  • I found my granny's old furry hat and my stuffed animal music box in the flea market box as well. Sweet nostalgia.
  • A good talk with my aunt / playing with my cousins.
  • Seeing two adorable cats playing with each other while waiting for the bus on a stormy night. They made incredibly cute sounds!
  • Drinking with colleagues. The best.
  • Finding time to go through my whole feed reader worth of two weeks' blog posts. In bed. After a nap. Mmmh.
  • Sleeping with a lambskin in bed.
  • I might be a tiny little bit in love (with a guy who's already got a girlfriend - WHY?!)
  • Thai curry with Lexi, drinking vodka and vanilla sauce with straws straight out of the jar. Cuddling in bed and watching Bridget Jones's Diary.
  • Cleaning the apartment. For the first time since moving in. Much needed.
  • Strawberry yoghurt and the "strawberry clock" - a kitchen timer I use for my English class (edit: Since Franzi accidentally broke the strawberry clock we now have a chicken clock and a geisha clock!).
  • A long walk with my mum.
  • A lovely Christmas party at Franzi's roof-deck. Red graveyard candles, a lot of booze, honest words, moving gestures, fake-kissing my crush.
  • Getting to hug my English supervisor and wishing her happy holidays. In retrospect I should have thanked her for all her help... gonna make up for that. She also got us some great books for our English classes - I got "Alice in Wonderland", it's magic!
  • Despite my sleep deprivation: an honest drunk-talk with Bert from 3:30 - 7am.
  • Christmas presents from my students. And I don't mean actual gifts (even though I got those as well) but the trust they have in me. They talk to me about their problems and want me to help them, they cry in front of me and accept my hugs. And, well, some even want to send me to "Voice of Germany" because they love it when I'm singing. Weird, kids!!
  • Finding out that I'm in fact an ENFP instead of an ISFP.
  • Swimming and diving with Lena and Obi.
  • Visiting Kathi, Sager, Marita and Petra. I wish we could see each other more often.
  • Talking to Frank who plays the saxophone for a really cool jazz-metal band.
  • Ben and Jerry's Half Baked .
