  • Munich Micro Burn: Co-hosting the opening and closing ceremonies with Ben and Ralph as the Matrix trio — Morpheus, Neo, and Trinity. I wore black leather and a corset, with long dark blue synthetic braids woven in with gold stoppers. Hippie goth girl jumps through the Matrix. Ben freestyled brilliantly, Ralph was perfect in his role, and the feedback we got was genuinely warm. Now I want to bring the red capsules with the little tasks to Borderland as gifting — I still have a hundred of them.
  • Glitter and holo mushroom stickers covered in eyes, left out in the Bauwagen — probably by Gregor or Balu.
  • Anna's DJ set. Actually dancing again, properly, for the first time in a while. Dance like nobody's watching.
  • Driving home briefly on Friday morning to shower and reset. Sometimes that's exactly what's needed. Alone time in the tent — just drawing, no people, no expectations to navigate. That became one of the real themes of this burn: feeling the weight of other people's expectations and my inability to set limits without fully withdrawing. Something to sit with.
  • Disko unexpectedly turning up at my tent.
  • Fritzle's living room carpet. Quietly envious of Ben's gorgeous new (old) bus — the right size, so cosy. I'd love to tinker around in something like that.
  • Finally managing to grab a chair in time for the effigy burn, sitting together with Peppi and friends and actually enjoying the fire show. It wasn't as horrible as it sometimes feels this time.
  • My garden straw cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and Dolly — my cup with the pink cowboy hat that is secretly a disco ball. Howdy. Very on-brand for my Jolene DnD character. Ben took a great photo of me!
  • Another great Thai massage at Sabay - my girl simply knows how to treat me!
  • A full week of rest and antisocial relaxation. Weed, ice-cream and Backgammon on my phone for hours a day. It was fun while it lasted - and felt great to come back to life afterwards. To clean the whole apartment and organise my paperwork...
  • Visiting Heidi and digging up dill and lupins from her garden.Visiting Heidi and digging up lupins from her garden. She mentioned her husband is in a care home now and declining physically, and she's struggling with it. I've been thinking about inviting her over more often — adopting her as a surrogate grandmother of sorts, and asking her everything about plants, as I already do whenever I'm there.
  • Finally wearing the Indian silk jacket I bought in Venice — the little boutique with the fat cat — and choosing it for group therapy of all places. Orange and purple silk with a beautiful pattern, layered over brown and caramel. I think I'm slowly finding my style. I know my colours, I know what I like. Something like a weird art teacher meets gallerist with eco-hippie vibes and a bit of edge. I love gothic and weird jewellery, unexpected combinations, things that shouldn't go together but do.
  • The enormous lavender growing straight out of the stone wall by the car park, covered in orange butterflies and even a few hummingbird hawk-moths. I picked a small bunch — it smells incredible. Now I have a little vase where I'm drying lavender. A few minutes earlier I'd spotted a hummingbird hawk-moth at my sage as well. The first of the season. It made me genuinely smile. And the echinacea-sage bed is nearly finished — it's slowly taking shape and I'm really pleased with how it's coming together.
  • Movie night — Joe Versus the Volcano. Weird, surreal, trashy. Holding hands in bed.
  • Supporting Yvonne through abortion. Realising I'm so so good with the hard stuff - but will panic when there's a minor inconvenience. My nervous system must be built for tough times...
  • Talking sex&drugs with Dan.
  • Finding out about Capri Sun Moon Punch with glow-in-the-dark drink pouches from the 2010s. I even wrote an email to their press department asking about their design history. So far, no reply. I'll wait patiently.
  • Discovering Marta Bleck's psychology content. There's something about her that I really like. Looking forward to listening to her podcast Liebe geht raus.
