- March 3rd was the first nice and sunny day this year. "It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." (Charles Dickens)
- Headscarves.
- Also: fabulous sunglasses and a trenchcoat. Makes you feel like the heroine of an old, glamorous movie.
- Reading bedtime stories for Marita.
- The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.
- Tomato juice. And passion fruit juice.
- Vivid dreams of underwater worlds accessible through weird supermarkets and cafés, slimy green oxygen masks, adventures with my dad in my grandma's house and a parking garage.
- My handwriting. The ability to observe myself critically, from a distance, and find meaning and vision in the most obscure places.
- Ferrero hazelnut eggs #lordimcominghometoyou. And Ferrero Tronky - delicious and evil.
- Gouache, watercolours, new brushes.
- Singing made up songs (preferably in weird, imaginary languages).
- Downgrading to iTunes 10.7.
- A big big salad with all my favourite things: tomatoes and mozzarelly, olives, feta and avocado. Also: pasta with eggplant, zucchini, bell pepper and pesto rosso (plus mozzarella dices).
- My old hair comb (which actually stays in my hair, wow).
- Selling my flat like a pro.
- Eating kohlrabi like an apple (more salt though).
- Coming home from the library with a basket full of books is really gratifying.
- Thrifting. I found a polka dot dress (!), many interesting books and beautiful prints / picture frames for only 8€.
- Yoghurt with rhubarb and vanilla.
- Being called photogenic.
- Meeting Tamara for coffee (we really don't see each other often enough) and making vague travel plans for the summer.
- The Darkness in concert! Challenging driving situations, gossiping with M. about our other friends, loud music in the car (Pomp and Circumstance!).
- "Unfuck the World" postcard, Heldenmarkt, utopia.de
- The documentary Forks over Knives.
- When someone you admire starts following you on Tumblr.
- Mövenpick banana caramel ice cream. Guilty, guilty, guilty.
- Finishing the first fucking art exam. I had to compare Picasso's "Artisten (Betrübte Mutter)" with Dorothea Lange's "Migrant Mother". Afterwards we went to Padu (Lisa, Marita, Miri and me) and had celebratory pizza.
- Finishing the second fucking art exam. Yes. That was my last written test, only an oral exam left. In the evening we celebrated and went dancing.
- Lena's visit - she was perfectly sweet, bought me a flower and some chocolate eggs after my exam and put a little card on my desk! She was really helpful, we cooked a lot together and went for a walk. Also, going out with her and all the other friends was really easy and nice, they got along very well.
- Something that happens very rarely to me and which I have mixed feelings about but: being genuinely hit on by a friend of mine. Which is awkward (especially when you're in a relationship already) but also kinda flattering. Ha. It just really boosted my self-confidence (which is usually not very high).
- Strawberries with Emmental cheese. Well, also strawberries with cream and vanilla. Mh. Veggie stew and lebanese food. Veggie pasta.
- Our goodbye party. Many people, much alcohol, intense talks in the middle of the night, it was raining and I got someone's jacket. New friends. Also: preparations with Ramona, Miri and Marita.
