- Nothing new here but: fresh laundry smell.
- Euphoria. The styling of this series is next level.
- Playing with an XXL version of bubble wrap.
- Grading, specifically: being DONE with it.
- Trying out my new make-up from Korea - lots of glitter, pink and purple hues.
- A trip down memory lane with Doris: Reading my Benjamin Bengel Pixi book and looking at old family photos. I actually found a cute water-themed Pixi to give her as a birthday present; it's about kids having a river adventure on their stand-up-paddling board.
- Being outside in the sun with the kids during our charity run. Playing badminton with Doris, the girls acting as my personal cheerleaders. Fun with Kevin and Amy. Making flower rings, real talk, taking them seriously.
- The Grossstadtgeflüster concert - drinking Caipirinhas and Vodka Bull (because I'm old and I have to rely on stimulants now in order to be happy and stay awake). Running into Mila. Making a friend. Wearing a pink and silver metallic T-shirt (even though my confidence wasn't great that day). FLEX with Doris, almost-necking, putting a stop to it, being sensible. Intriguing.
- MY BIRTHDAY! At school, Becky and Doris worked together and set up a fun surprise on my desk in the teacher's lounge: balloons, a cake with candles for me to blow out, flowers, temporary tattoos (I immediately applied a moon, a planet, some stars and a jellyfish), a bottle of Fanta, smarties and presents! I got socks in bi-colours and crossword books. I wore my silky red dress and received lots of compliments. I made my traditional strawberry-Raffaello cake.
- The day before, I had dinner with Helga and Marlies. On our way home, we noticed the huge yellow moon hanging very low over the horizon and decided to chase it. So we ended up on a wide open field to have the best view at the purple evening sky. Also moon related: I noticed that the two lunar eclipses this year are exactly on my birthday - and Raphael's. Huh.
- At the weekend I had a birthday picnic in the northern part of the English garden with some of my best friends. It was such a lovely day. I had remembered to bring everything - blankets, comfy pants, food and drinks. Lena and Christian gave me a gift voucher for an hour of floating in a salt-water tank and I got a bag of goodies from the Asian store from Sash and Yanch. In the evening we stocked up on liquor and ordered pizza at Raphael's theatre! We played with the marionettes, enjoyed Frank's birthday present and Doris shotgunned me. I made Raphael play the piano for me while I practised our new choir song. Later we played Who am I (I was Buzz Aldrin, wtf) and I made little personal playlists for everyone. Raphael was awarded his superhero name that night: The Preventer.
- Doris picked me up after the workshop I gave in Pasing and we went to the lake. Regattasee. I sat in the car with an ice-cream in the one hand and iced coffee in the other. Luxurious whipped cream. I had dinner at THE Chinese restaurant with Lena and Christian that night and we went completely overboard with our food orders.
- The next day I realised I had covid and I LOVED it. My symptoms weren't severe so I suddenly found myself with a lot of time on my hands to relax and get some stuff done. The weeks before had been crazy busy. I really needed that break so I was very grateful.
- But I also wasted some time of course. I found my old GameBoy color and became obsessed with Tetris (again). By now I have 111 wins against the computer on hard more under my belt.
- A bike ride through the forest very early in the morning on Father's Day. I picked a large bouquet of wildflowers, greeted some walkers and found the first red berry on a strawberry field. Soon! When I sat on a bench in a small church graveyard eating my croissant I suddenly had the idea to join Doris on her trip to Mexico. So this is happening!!
- Clown fish-shaped mango-vanilla ice-cream popsicles.
- A book recommendation from my therapist about female narcissism. I felt seen and learned a lot about myself. What a revelation.
- Reading travel books. One guy drove his motorcycle to India and took his cat Mogli with him, the other one brought Monique the chicken on his sailing trip around the world. Beautiful and awe-inspiring stories.
- Joining Raphael at his job as a lighting technician for an all-teacher a-cappella band. Playing table soccer during the break. Getting to know his friends. Helping with the clean-up. And I actually had a lot of fun during the show!

- Getting up at sunrise, picking flowers in the garden. Going swimming bright and early. It's been too long.

- A mild obsession with fuchsia. I need this colour in my life.
- A bikini photo of me I kinda like.
- Peter, my choir crush, who called me Herzi after we hadn't seen each other for quite some time and tried to repair my bike. Connecting with Sarah over her restlessness. The other Peter bringing his photo books from his South America travels for me.
- The lupins are starting to bloom on the balcony!
- Discovering one of my now favourite authors - Olivie Blake. Reading The Atlas Six was such a delight. It's Dark Academia meeting The Umbrella Academy and the perfect addiction to some of my other beloved books in the genre like The Secret History, Ninth House, The Magicians and the scholomance novels.
