- Venezia with Thai Food: what an adventure... I collected the guys from Ostbahnhof and after only half an hour we already got into a traffic jam. Pit stop at McD, singing along (really badly) to loud music in the car. Getting supplies at Hofer, but then: kaboom, my tire exploded because I had to give way to another driver and crashed into a road sign. Could have been worse though: we found a huge construction stire parking lot in front of a tunnel, the others drank wine, they towed us into Villach and we threw some money at the problem so after two hours we were back on the road. Phew. / In Italy I got to share a bed with Frank, relearned Schafkopfen, we invented new signature drinks (Gin Choco! Hazel me up!), had a great time by (the others)/ in (me) the sea / I drove by Bert's family's vacation home and we went to the same marina at the lighthouse / awesome seafood and cheap vine at Osteria dal Pupi, Pasta Carbonara in Venice / Herbert Feuerstein and his wife at the table next to ours / my awesome new fake teeth / befriending Steven Seagull / playing two truths one lie / the cute old couple on the bench under the big tree on the piazza / click cigarettes / AutoGrill cappuccino, mmh, so creamy / Hakuna Matata! / Capri Sun for everyone / duckfacing with Fabi / collecting seashells and crab pincers on the beach / finally knowing my way around Venice, seeing the Accedemia and the canals again; this time in the off-season, there were unusually few people around / decorating Fabi with markers, nail polish and glitter as soon as he fell asleep //
- A little care package from the Italian supermarket (Pan di Stelle!)
- Going home with Frank after Backstage. Good pre-falling-asleep-cuddling. Watching Donnie Darko together the next day and coming with the idea to organise a Halloween party together!
- A tiny Frank Zappa revival.
- The little kid on the subway yelling "tadaaaa" every time the doors opened.
- Reading about Candice Brown on the Great British Bake Off (and their food illustrator, Tom Hovey). Great lipstick choices, by the way.
- Vivid dreams: Riding camels and donkeys, my feet crawling with woodlice, squeezing up a tiny staircase in an AirBnb, making friends with cats, guinea pigs, a happy baby. Drinking wine with Henrik in an empty varieté. Teleportation cheese. Helping my (fake) family (= two lesbian mums and siblings I've never met) move into an old farmhouse right next to a McDonald's. A great sunset over the water. The only thing dividing the EU and Britain being a fence (and getting British Pound from the ATM for Verena). A superarket with ramen noodles and instant mashed potatoes in front of the check-out instead of candy. A school trip to Australia. And gosh, far too many school-related dreams anyway...
- Bad lip reading (especially as a voiceover for cat videos and presidental debates).
- New MAC lipstick in "Diva" (and I also really want the Retro Matte in "Self Portrait" from the limited Helmut Lang collection). EDIT: got "High Drama" instead...
- Warm, gooey porridge. Tchibo cappuccino. Antipasti ciabatta rings from VorOrt.
- An evening with Becky at the Italian restaurant! Long overdue.
- Going even more blonde with Barbara's help at the Silkrodil hair salon. Her dog was sitting on my lap the whole time. So soft. And I adore Barbara's style... suddenly black lipstick feels like a good idea!
- Rainbow dumplings at LeDu.
- The Kadavar/Blues Pills concert with Manu and Frank. Even though I had to leave early because my feet hurt so much and some idiots in the audience really raised my aggression levels. Oh, and if you close your eyes while Kadavar is playing you get a chance of ASMR tingles and a weed-like trance.
- The fact that Verena is still dating Sepp. Cute <3
- Smelling the coffee bags at the supermarket. Truffle butter on fresh ciabatta.
- Sue Perkins "toweling down Selasi" on the Great British Bake Off.
- Completely obsessing over Crawley, a plush toy spider. SO. CUTE.
- Frank sending pictures of him with the spider. For example one of Crawley attacking him simply to amuse me. Gold.
- Meeting Markus, who is half-Finnish tastes like chocolate milk when you kiss him. Who buys you a new beer when you drop your old one on the floor. Who wears the most adorable headband.
- Visiting him at home, spending hours on the sofa. Playing with his synthesizer, eating the pizza he made for me. I want more of that. Turns out he doesn't. I guess I'm too much again...
- The robins in the bush outside my window.
- Frank paying me a "compliment" by noticing that he actually enjoyed a relaxed prep-evening we spent together, making pumpkin quiche and jello shots, carving a pumpkin lantern. I told him to buy Markus a beer because apparently he has enough sex with me to keep my inner bitch in place.
- A city tour through Munich with my colleagues ("Witches, whores and hangmen", quite interesting) and a very nice evening at the Weisses Bräuhaus / Irish pub. Our boss switched T-shirts with Jenny, so he showed up in a tiny pink number covered in puppy dogs...
- My Blues Pills T-shirt.
- Keeping myself busy during crafts lesson and sawing out little animals. I've got my own zoo by now.
- Walking to the northern part of the English Garden for the autumn race in beautiful weather. I had never been there before, it was a beautiful autumn scenery.
- Doris making a headband with a pink feather for Crawley.
- An Austrian evening: dinner at Waldfee (Kaspressknödel! Marillenknödel!) and seeing Manuel Rubey in Gott und Söhne at the Lustspielhaus. Leiwand!
- Preparations for our Halloween party like making guacamole and hummus, covering the whole hall in black plastic wrap and cobwebs, lighting votive candles all over the apartment.
- The party itself was nice but there was a lot of drama involving two very drunk people, a dog, tears, a madwoman... and a lot of people didn't show up at all. But the ones who came had great costumes and a lot of fun!
