- The cloud, or fog, or smoke hanging low between the trees over the houses at Vogelherd. I noticed the reflection in the bathroom window.
- The cat's name in Prana Extrem - Schnurri-San.
- Meeting a new choir - one I really liked! I was rather cheerful after practice. My two evenings at Liedertafel left me rather annoyed.
- Rewatching The Crown. I forgot how good it is.
- Participating in a kart race. It's been the first time on a race track since a holiday in Hungary during my childhood.
- A bike tour through the backcountry. Green meadows, the first fall colours on the leaves, cats and horses, deer and cows everywhere. The forest ground covered in a thick layer of moss.
- A weird medieval concert in a small church that looked like a sacral antique store. And a very modern circus performance in a black dome with lots of sand and a few vinyls.
- Werther's Caramelts. They remind me of Caramac (which Nestlé discontinued in 2023). I've got fond memories of Sunday walks to the train station where I was allowed to choose my favourite candy or even a grab bag or a magazine.
- "For my light sister with the divine voice." - my bestie Aljoscha sent me a hand-painted postcard and a few of his dried mushrooms.
- Wearing thermal tights and a dark green sweater dress. With booties and red lipstick. Très chic.
- Feeling beautiful. And motivated to live up to my full potential. Believing in myself for once. I'm slowly running out of excuses.
- I had the most violent Thai massage of my whole life. It was so painful I actually whimpered at one point. Afterwards I was actually shaking a little but also, miraculously, completely relaxed. It had a noticeable effect on my body and mood. Wow.
- Walking down to the village. Just to get a few steps in. But it was sunny and the leaves were glowing in autumn colours. I even went into the little church/graveyard for the first time.
- A touching therapy session with Janin.
- Stumbling upon the perfect karaoke song for me. Performing it ten times in a row while driving. It's Gaga's Always Remember Us This Way.
- I made apple cinnamon jam with Amaretto. And then I decorated the jars with stickers, sparkly washi tape and I even crocheted a little hat for one lid. And I loved it. Felt very crafty and autumnal.
- Indian food and Bevor ich es vergesse at Kammerspiele with Katharina.
- A Sunday late afternoon walk through the forest. Trying to find mushrooms. Golden hour on our way back.
- My first Human Design meeting ever! It was great to talk to new people (who are into the same kind of weird stuff as me).
- I entered the barn and Charlie the cat must have heard me. He meowed excitedly and ran down to force his furry love upon me!
- My first Shiatsu and Rolfing treatments!
- I appreciate all the animals around me so much and I'm really happy I find myself in more natural surroundings now! I sometimes see a stork couple on a field next to the road. Yesterday there was a woodpecker, a heron, and two large Bernese Mountain Dogs ran towards me! Initially, I was a little intimidated - but decided to trust them enough to hold out my hand and pet them. In the end they licked my arm - goofy and friendly. Good experience.
- My first physical therapy session made me feel so energized that I had the urge to go on a long walk right after. I didn't even change my clothes and went straight to the forest.
- Chopping fruit and veggies at the dining table together in the evening. Feels cozy.
- Writing a letter to Aljoscha. On hot pink paper. Bedazzling a fan for him.
- The new Blend feature on Spotify - it automatically creates a playlist combining two people's taste in music!
- Stealing branches with leaves in fall colour gradients with C. after we brought the first bunch of art supplies to my studio.
- Spending a weekend with all our "housemates". Cooking together, getting to know each other better, playing games. A long walk up on Saturday. Good food, affogato and a nap afterwards. What a relief. Making clay animals in the evening. Crossing a river on a small ferry boat.
- One of my wild rose bushes producing the tiniest rosehips! Like a miniature version made for dolls.
- My new dentist. She's really good at what she does AND she repeatedly massaged my jaw during the procedure.
- Walking through Solln with C. and Becky.
- Joy of Connection. Making silly faces and improvising with Robert. Ending up in the hottie massage group. Creating art I liked.
- Driving to choir practice one night the leaves whirling around on the street looked as if they were dancing.
- Doja Cat's AAAHH MEN! using the Knight Rider intro. The first minute of this song is awesome.
- Going to the circus with C. No animals - only acrobats, dancers, clowns, magicians and musicians. At first I was sceptical and overwhelmed (all the rhythmic clapping and forced happiness, ew). But after a while I genuinely enjoyed the show and was especially impressed by the aerial shows.
- A plate of spaghetti tossed in a Parmesan wheel with summer truffle generously shaved on top.
- Compliments for my legs in black tights and boots.
- Rewatching A Star Is Born with C. I kinda like the vibe of the movie. And the music, of course.
- I ordered Pho at a new restaurant in town and it had the number 222 on the menu.
- Treating myself to some art supplies to cheer me up. Pigments, acrylic colours, a scalpel and silhouette scissors.
- Red and pink geranium against vines in autumn colours climbing up the wall.
- The clouds that towered behind the Alps at sunrise as I drove toward the mountains for an appointment one morning.
- Cutting corners.
- Dinner at NENI with Margit (I had roasted cabbage and popcorn falafel), a frivolous visit to the craft store, and then we saw Kinky Boots at Deutsches Theater. I realised how much I love watching people doing something they're really good at and passionate about. What a lovely musical - it definitely exceeded expectations (and the cast received standing ovations in the end).
- Dangling cats.
- Hamburn! On the way up north we sat in the board restaurant for more than seven hours. Then we met Sandro on the next train. Eros and Basstet, our roommates, were a vibe. They decorated everything beautifully and shared their bubbly with us. On Thursday, I had two encounters with Julian. In the afternoon, he was my second partner/"mirror" in the Identity Alchemy workshop (we had to answer the same question, "Who are you?", nine times). In the evening, we came to A very dark room (communal showers) where I received a full-on Carrie experience by allowing Jules to empty several cups of (fake) blood over my head. There were buckets of slime, a bunch of naked hippies, and eventually we just started sliding over each other. We had a blast! / Friday was my favourite - Halloween! We started the day with sauna, a dip in the lake, then hot tub, and a lovely warm shower. Later, we went back to the Aerial Tipi filled with hundreds of plushies in all sizes. There we took part in the Trip Me Tender tea ceremony and wrote down our intentions for the night. The fun had already started... Later, I won a tiny squishy penis in the advent calendar (there was a Christmas toilet) and we named him Rolf. I put glitter on Disko and Sandro before we went to the Movement Room for the Cabaret. Before the show, Jules took us to the place where he'd installed Sparkling Forest, a microphone and keyboard surrounded by sound-sensitive lights in the forest. Singing or playing the piano would encourage the forest to sparkle around you. Then we discovered the Buffer and I treated C. and Jules to some polishing. The "No Talent" show was so good. There were excellent cringe performances, mystery parcel unboxing, poetry recitals, expressive dance, and my favourite: the armpit-fart-without-hands challenge. As the crowd dispersed, we surrounded ourselves with candy booths, sex workers and Aale Dieter's shit talk at his fish market booth. C. asked to spend some time alone and I wandered off into the woods by myself. I faced my fears and followed my instinct - and some lights and voices! There were light installations throughout the forest, each came with an eerie voice talking about all and nothing. I was moved to tears by the last one. It told me that I'd come to the right place. The present movent. And all my pain and suffering was not in vain. I continued my deep playa exploration by writing something on the Listening Forest bamboo sticks (I chose the largest one because I have a lot to let go). Then I wrote "Zauber los!" on a huge magnetic board outside before I found fox and his crew lying under The Muse in the cozy crafting cottage. We played Bingo for a bit, exchanged dares and Knutscheine, signed each others' butts like guestbooks. I gave Birdie a bite mark and didn't claim responsibility for it. My favourite moment was sticking together our six heads, closing our eyes, and humming together. A truly special moment I enjoyed a lot. When I left them, I accidentally ran into C. again. We were looking for each other. And ended up in a comfortable nook of the bar room with Stefan, Gaya, Mandy and BaLu (after I ran into Jules and redeemed one of his very own Knutscheins with their creator). We played with balloons and horse goodies. In the end, everyone left for the dancefloor but I returned after a while, listening to my inner voice telling me I'd had enough for the night. I showed Stefan the way to the lights and voices in the forest and went to bed.
