  • Frank took me to his parents' house one evening, just to get some laundry done but I enjoyed it a lot. We made pasta, had white wine and watched trashy TV. Sadly the cat didn't show up.
  • Meeting Elsa and Franzi in Munich. Some food, talking, buying confetti and tattoos at Pappnase .
  • Lissy's wedding! We got all dressed up and had to sit through one and a half hours of church... but it only got better. We had drinks and snacks and went to some kind of trailer park afterwards. It was amazing - they had arranged all kinds of games and different tents, a cocktail bar... Frank and me teamed up with Michi and Janina and entered the competition (I did surprisingly well, even though I fell down twice due to various circumstances, but I'm secretly glad I didn't win one of the very alive sheep they set up as a prize). Great drinks and food, fireworks... And I was pretty pleased with myself for bringing an extra pair of flat shoes! Unfortunately we weren't really in the mood for dancing after another emotional downer (who knew being unhappily in love with someone could be that hard to ignore) but all in all it was a wonderful day!
  • The fact that McDonald's drive-in employees always manage to put your fries on top in the paper bag so you can eat them without looking while driving your car.
  • The word "nest".
  • Frank talking some sense into me during my moving crisis. I sat there crying, overwhelmed by all this STUFF, but suddenly the phone was ringing.
  • Making some progress with the flat. I really need to get used to it though... it's all a bit lonely and cold here.
  • Going out with Frank in Munich. On Friday, we went looking for the old/new Import-Export which was nice but I wore really painful shoes so we took a taxi back, I changed into my running shoes and we went to Titty Twister and met up with Hester and Kathrin. I talked to a guy from Heilbronn, Heiko, who looked just like Frank. Hester and Frank were flirting all night long which put me into a rather bad mood in the end but actually I really liked her. On Saturday we went grocery shopping, made amazing quiche with sundried tomatoes, goat feta and spinach. Then we had a disco nap and went to Backstage where we met Manu. As soon as Frank left my side, freaks would appear and ask me for a dance. Why is it so impossible to get approached by a normal guy? On Sunday we made cherry cake and watched Scott Pilgrim vs. The World . Sad Sunday, as usual, but it was ok. It's good we are so honest with each other.
  • A pretty badass home, I must say. Oh, envy.
  • Egg McMuffins and hot chocolate.
  • My ninthgraders are actually a pretty adorable bunch. I hope we're gonna have a nice school year together.
  • Also, I think I really like my new school - the pupils and colleagues are all pretty nice and the pace is a much slower one than last year.
  • Sending a carrot cake challenge to Frank in a parcel with some cooking utensils. He's gotta bake his first own cake. It better be delicious. Also: drawing a lot of bunnies and carrots on the recipe and envelope.
  • I met someone in my building who carried a basket with mushrooms from the forest. We started talking and he promised to bring me my own batch of mushrooms the next day - which he did! So I made Semmelknödel with a creamy mushroom and white wine sauce. Yum!
  • The only positive thing about the worst night of my life: I was introduced to the TV series The Knick . It's pretty gloomy and gory but it comes with a sublime and minimal electronic soundtrack which gives this show (taking place in 1900) an eerie feeling.
  • Frank admitting that he's a little jealous and actually doesn't want me to meet other people. Which is a) super nice to know b) really unfair because how the hell am I supposed to get ove just has to say ONE word and I'm all his but I guess that's not about to happen either.
  • Meeting Martin for a drink at Café Kosmos. Kissing. Breaking a record.
  • Les aventures culinaires de Sarah Wiener en Asie .
  • A short walk in the woods, during the rain but nevertheless. So many mushrooms! It was hard not to step on them.
  • Some 18-year-old flirted with me (because he thought I was 16) - weird but hey, I'll take what I can get.
  • The Georg Baselitz exhibition at Haus der Kunst, Indian food with Johanna, Lena and Lexi.
  • Import/Export with Frank, Rici and Fabi. It was nice to meet Frank's best friend - we got along really well even though he sent a kinda mean text in the morning because he wanted to tell Frank not to mess things up with Stephie because of ME. Thanks a lot.
  • Oktoberfest with Frank and Manu on Sunday. Good talks and atmosphere, too much beer (of course). Walking home with Frank, holding hands all the way.
  • Eating parmigiano and truffle spaghetti for breakfast at Café Gandl. In the sunshine. Macarons for dessert.
  • I told Frank I loved him. Which was important for me. But of course there was Sunday drama again even though I really really thought I was already much better. It still hurts that I want him so much more than he wants me.
