• Almost reaching the point where the apartment looks the way it should and almost everything is more or less organized and in its place. Sitting outside in my comfy chair at night, looking up at the marvellous starry sky.
  • Free magazines at the airport. Noise-cancelling headphones. What a godsend.
  • Driving through a hippie village. Eating at a vegan cafe. Buying lovely earrings at a jewellery store. Getting groceries.
  • Waking up in Portugal at the Atlantic coast. Going swimming in a pristine lake with water lilies after sunrise. Paddling the little fisherman to the middle of the lake in a canoe. A large tray with delicious breakfast delivered to our doorstep.
  • Visiting A.'s parents' house in the hills behind the coast. Their octagonal living room. Talking about art and wildfires. Homemade lemonade, tostadas and a big bowl of salad. The kids catching tiny frogs in the lake. Laura Lindheimeri swaying gently in the wind.
  • Drawing hopscotch squares into the sand with Mara. Painting together. Chasing seagulls. Playing cat. Walking out of the sea backwards so our footsteps suggest we disappeared in the water and never came back. I love that little weirdo.
  • Our lake. The soft water. The beautiful water lilies opening the morning sun. Pink dragonflies. Jumping contests and boat chases. Reading on the platform.
  • A Thai massage at Odeceixe beach. The sound of the crashing waves instead of the Bali Spa playlist. Eating tremoços (pickled lupini beans) at the quiosque. Washing them down with a minty pineapple smoothie.
  • Quiet podcast drives. The little one distracted by Benjamin Blümchen on air pods.
  • Scary high water slides.
  • My highlight so far: night swimming in our lake. Naked, alone, under the almost full moon. The next night, I also convinced C. to join me. Afterwards we watched Rain Man in bed.
  • Jumping into forceful waves. Surfer girl vibes. Reading Outside Looking In by T.C.Boyle (about Timothy Leary's first Harvard psilocybin experiments).
  • An unexpected sight: C. in a wetsuit trying to conquer the surf on a body board.
  • Accidental meditation. A really deep and good one, too. Much needed.
  • Beach walks with Mara.
  • Driving to Lagos, just the two of us. What a relief. Walking through the old town. Shopping at Parfois.
  • Authentic Mexican food at Green Room. I had taquitos with nopales and a chelada. Lime, salt and cilantro make everything more delicious.
  • I accepted my fate and parked my car down the hill. During the walk back up, I picked a whole bouquet of pretty wildflowers! If I have to do something I don't want to do I can at least pick flowers on the way...
  • Little moments with people from the seminar. Bumming a cigarette from Katha/Denise/Moria. Confessing my sins to Matti. Admitting to Jan that I googled him. Going on a walk together, giving him a head massage. Lying in the cuddle puddle between Katha and Matti. Florian's gentle, careful cuddle advances. Crying in front of my mask with Aljoscha behind me, touching a point in the center of my spine. It felt warm and magical. Driving home with Bernd, reflecting on the week and filling each other in on gossip we might have missed. Karaoke night with celebrity appearances: kitkat, Alishà, FeuerFotze and El Conde.
  • Bestie vibes with Aljoscha: something kept pulling us towards each other the whole week. We would end up sitting next to each other more often than not. He also sat down next to me when my energy was too much for someone and she left. "I like this energy", he said. We also chose the same stone in the ritual: the heart stone from the Path of the Child. Thursday afternoon we went to the moor bath together. It was beautiful. Perhaps it was... "der letzte schöne Herbsttag".
  • Going to bed with a very full heart on the last evening.
  • Coming home. Fall vibes. Making pumpkin quiche and apple tarte. Planting a few climbing plants, trying to let the vines grow along the fence and up a column. Wisteria in full bloom is my goal here. I might have to get a few more plants though.
  • I went to a bookstore with C., we were waiting for friends. And he asked me: "Why don't you make more art? I think you'd be an amazing artist." I felt seen and appreciated.
  • A fun night out with Yod and BaLu. Delicious drinks at the Mandarin Oriental bar. Cozy Boazn with a charming hostess. Techno at Unter Deck. My first time trying C (such tiny amounts that I didn't even notice an effect).
  • Books. All of them. Deep dives. Library visits. Huge stacks around my bed.
  • And the literary SlutEring event! Everyone read sexy stories and poems and some even chose to do a hysterical reading.
  • Signing the lease for my very first (shared) art studio!
  • Incredible second hand / flea market finds. Brand new leather boots, fake fur and a pink suede Escada belt with Moschino-esque golden letters that spell "THE NINETIES". Wooden candle holders. A few textiles in "my colours". A book about Regentag - Hundertwasser's sailing boat and the art he made while at sea.
  • The smell of the man who came back home from Hungary in the middle of the night.
  • Ridiculous cat love. I hate the clawy biscuits they're baking on my chest - but I feel kinda flattered, too.
  • Ben invited me to the sauna at Tegernsee. I loved a new-agey Aufguss with Ameno playing in the background. The sauna they built into an old tourist boat. And hanging out together on a round sofa reading. Ben sometimes chuckled and laughed when he read. Cute. I really like him.
  • I survived my first Hofrunde!
  • Holding hands while rewatching The Crown in bed. Snacks and snuggles. Sometimes he smells so nice.
