my ratings vary based on the media i'm consuming but it usually boils down to personal enjoyment. i have a lot of hot takes when it comes to animanga but i can usually back it with some sort of explanation. below are the meanings behind my ratings and how they differ to me.

• absolutely amazing! this piece of media is one of my favorites. depending on the genre and contents, i would definitely recommend these. perfection.

• great. there were very few things i disliked with this piece of media but i still enjoyed it for what it was. i would probably recommend these to others. almost perfect.

• kinda good. there were probably a lot of things i didn't enjoy but rated it 3 stars for the things that i did like. most of the time it has to do with character personalities, plot, or other reasons that, if changed, would make it much better. it's alright, i guess.

• meh. i usually rate 2 stars if i started a series with more enjoyment and then it got worse over time. i probably wouldn't recommend these to anyone and drop these 99% of the time. mid.

• 1 star and/or dropped media is absolute garbage. i would not recommend them to my worst enemies. they're not worth the time it takes to watch or read them, and i can tell you everything i dislike in depth. i hate these.
