- Use a whitening cream. Whitening creams can really lighten skin. Choose a safe product and read all the warnings!
- Apply lemon. Sprinkle lemon and water on the parts of the body that you want the pale complexion to be. It will only take a few days for your skin to be pale. Be sure to do it about 3 times a day.
- Sprinkle an ounce of baking soda in your bathtub. Soak in it for 10 minutes once a week.
- Apply nail polish. This is a great way to make your hands and feet look a little paler. Black or dark colors, such as purple and navy blue, work well because they make your skin seem paler by contrasting.
- Rub your hands in oatmeal. Do this a couple times of times each day. This was used as an old fashioned home remedy for ladies at the turn of the century to keep their hands white and soft.
- Make a facial mask. Mix one part milk and two parts flour. Leave it on until dry and then wash off with lukewarm water.
- Take a milk bath. Take a lukewarm water bath with 1/2 gallon of milk and 4 cups of Epsom salts every week.
- Use potatoes. Potato has bleaching agents and can get rid of blemishes, as well make your skin color lighter. Apply slices of raw potato on the face, or make a paste of it and apply it. Wash off after 15 minutes.
- Make a tomato mixture. Tomato is a wonderful natural bleach. You can puree some tomato, mix a few drops of lime juice in it and apply the mixture to your face. Do this daily for about 15 days for visible effects.
- Soak some almonds. After doing this overnight, grind it to a fine paste and mix it either with honey or milk. Apply it on your face and neck. When it dries, scrub it off gently and wash your face with cold water.
- Create a mint paste. Make a paste by grinding a few fresh mint leaves. Apply on the face for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water.
