  • Why Do You Identify As Nonhuman?

I've not thought super deeply into the real nitty gritty of how it works for myself. Maybe it's because of my neurodiversity, maybe there is something more to the universe then meets the eye, perhaps souls and energies work in this way, perhaps it's a simple connection or way the brain pattern recognizes, or past experiences of both good and bad varieties. Honestly, the wishy-washy uncertainty of it all feels far more natural to me in a lot of ways then digging for some deeper reasoning. It's impossible for the brain to wrap around how the universe and it's laws work, or even how it's own self works. That's not what it evolved for and ultimately it's not something possible. Many find that upsetting or seek answers. I think that's cool and I have tried hard in the past to find my own answers through spirituality and knowledge seeking. Ultimately it's not how I'm wired, I find much more intrigue, fun and calm in the natural mystery and unknown of it all. That's really all there is to it.

What I do know is: I feel this way. I've felt this way in varying degrees since before I could spell enough words to even begin to put the feeling down onto paper. The human body does not feel natural to me. The ways of human society do not feel natural to me. My connection to the nonhuman and unnatural has always felt far more deep and understanding than any human interact has. There is a deep pain inside that goes past the irk of societies annoyances and struggles. That is never satisfied no matter the success, health or excitement of my life and social group. One that can only mildly be satiated by welcoming and exploring my identification with the nonhuman.

In more simple terms: I dunno. It be like that.

  • You Really Think You're A Cat?

I am completely aware I am physically human, including my brain and thoughts. I am in no way delusional or unaware about this, nor do I know anything about if souls are real or if so can be shared between species. All these defer from alterhuman to alterhuman. I have a full time job, pay taxes and rent, grocery shop, talk with others, have a healthy, human activity based relationship with family. While I'm not crazy about it, I often use "people", "person" and similar words to refer to groups including myself or myself exclusively because that is factually correct and understandable to others. But yes. I do believe I am a cat as well as I believe I am my other kintypes. These things coexist and don't contradict each other in my mind. Mrrowwww.
